Took advantage of the Buy one, get one 50% off promo after I clocked out from work today. All I can say is: Wow! It's almost distracting just how well they work. They completely clear the windshield with no chatter or streaking. Completely silent, and for a brief moment the windshield is 100% water free. Those combined with Rain-X meant on my trip home in the rain on the highway I had the wipers on slowest speed. I'm sold.

Do you mind if I ask what these blades cost you? I need to put new blades on both the Envoy and the G6 before the winter weather arrives. The G6 got Goodyear blades from Costco last November and have been great, but need replacing at this point. I put on Pylon blades on the Envoy in March (yes, bought at Wal-Mart) and have been disappointed since. SInce cash is not as free-flowing as I'd like, I have to budget from the next couple of pay checks the stuff I need. TIA :)

I don't think they make them for my car. In fact, I have never really been able to find wipers for my car. I haven't ever replaced my wipers. Amazingly they still function...kind of.

Try Rain-X Latitudes (also on buy one get one 50% off) or Rain-X Repels. They aren't as sleek as the Icons but they come with a variety of adapters to allow them to fit most cars...even the newer style ones like what G6's use. Can't guarantee it, but they are worth looking into. Just bought a set for the Grand marquis since Icons don't fit. Seem to work well.

It ran me around $35 for the pair (buy one get one 50% off FTW).

Pricey, especially since I'd need a set for the Envoy and the G6 (assuming they offer the sizes for both). How long do these blades last? How about the Rain-X Latitudes and Repels? If they last at least year then it would be worth it. The Goodyear ones on the G6 now cost me about $8 each (Costco), and I've definitely been happy with them. But my neighbor/friend works for Advanced Auto (Allentown, PA warehouse) and swears by their products for his '05 Ford 500 Limited and '05 Ford Freestyle Limited AWD, so I'd be willing to try them out. TIA!

I know LH owns with Icons that have lasted them 2 years. I don't know about Latitudes or Repels. We just bout Latitudes for the Grand Marquis so we'll see which is better over the long haul, but they both are far superior to any framed wipers I have ever used. I prefer the Icons because they are sleeker and look nice on my sleek car. :)

Repels are a new Rain-X beam style wiper which comes with Rain-X treatment. They are a little more expensive. They are not part of the buy 1 get 1 50% off deal. They are on sale for buy 2 get $5 off, but as you can imagine that's nowhere near as good of a deal.

Yes Bosch icons rock. I replaced all three car wipers with those. Unless I have deluge of water pouring on the car, I rarely put them on more than second fastest intermittent speed.

It is a fantastic buy. About $22 for piece they out last the $14 crap that you get from Jiffy Boob or Wiwimart.

I'd love to try Icons... but my windshield has so many tiny little craters, it tears wipers right up... its been like that since I got it at 45K, pretty much... I don't understand why... and I can't seem to figure out a way to fix it, except to replace the windshield.

The G6's blades are on their last leg, so I stopped by my local Advance Auto Parts store to purchase a set of the Bosch Icons and wouldn't you figure the series the G6 needs is not carried in the store?!?! The manager went online to order them and they are not available. He said that he will check in more detail today for me, seeing if he can find them somewhere and quickly. I really want to try these out on the G6, and I purchased another brand for the Envoy from Wal-Mart out of need (the Envoy sees all winter-weather driving duty and I needed a set quickly). Hopefully he'll find me the series I need soon so I can try these out and post my observations here.

I bought Icons last year for my Grand Prix, still work great. I think it helps if you use rainx too. My mom's cadillac needed wipers this year. Funny story. We were in the car parts store buying some power steering fluid and dexcool. When we left, it started raining and my mom went to turn on her wipers. They sucked. I said "Shoot, you need to buy some wipers" my mom says "where do you buy wipers at" I said "at the store we were just in." So we turned around and went looking for her wipers. Turns out, the Cadillac wipers are behind the counter in the specialty wiper section. She got some Icons too.

I know Balthazar, they're pricey ($22 for the driver's side <24">, $20 for the passenger's side <21">), but everyone I know that uses them states that they last a long time and have great performance. I'll give them a shot and see how well they perform; if I'm not convinced they're worth that amount of money, I won't buy them again :P

i believe i picked some of them up about 2 months ago, the only time they chatter it seems is on a dry windshield, sometimes? they just aren't tall enough to fit nicely on my car's forms that regular height wipers would sit on.

Bad news... call from Scott the manager from my local Advance Auto Parts wasn't good. He said not only did he call the warehouse, he checked other store inventories to see if he could get me what was needed but no other stores had them. He did offer me the $10 off discount that the Icons have right now on the NeoForms. Does anyone have experience with that series???

Neoforms are Trico's top of the line wipers, and were one of our wiper sale items last month. We couldn't keep hem in stock. People seem to like them. I was gonna get a pair for the Prizm but didn't get around to getting them before the sale ended. I bought of Trico Flex wipers today (buy 1 get 50% off) since the old ones were crap and I needed a good pair for this snow storm. They seem to work well so far.

We have a pair of Rain-X Latitudes on the Grand Marquis (no Icons fit it), they work very well. I would say as good as the Icons, just not as sleek, but that's because they are designed to work with almost every car, and come with like 5 adapters. I recommend those. Rain-X Repels are like Lattitudes but come with Rain-X treatment.

Nearly $50 (regular price) for a set of wiper blades?? I don't think so.

Worth every penny. Of course I wait until they are on sale. ;) I got mine for like e$35. They're on sale now for $10 off when you buy two.

Yes it helps using Rain-X because it creates less friction for the blades to move, reducing wear on the rubber. Same with keeping your windshield clean.

Mine are still working great, but my car is done for the winter for the most part, so they won't be seeing active duty for a while.

Too much money! I spend less than $20 even if I decide to splurge on the "nice ones" and the cheap ones do the job. Of course... I don't have to move snow or anything like that... just fend off the squirt guns of the bikini clad girls... in my mind...

So would you say you would go with the Trico NeoForms or the Rain-X Latitudes? The G6 hasn't had new blades since September '09, which were Michelin brand wipers from Costco. I'd say they lasted a good 12 months, and we decent for another 2 months. But since December their performance has dropped significantly and I need to replace those suckers. Paid about $8 each blade at Costco, but don't have a membership anymore. I bought Anco ones for the Envoy from Wal-Mart almost two weeks ago and they so far have been great with all removing snow and the gunk from snow removal residue. The Envoy uses the old metal design wiper arm, whereas the G6 uses the new wiper arm design for increased aerodynamics.

Well I haven't used the Neoforms so I can't say, but I have used the Latitudes and I like them a lot. Price wise they are pretty close unless one is on sale. I would say either is fine, but I will say the Latitudes looks better made.
