With half of those categories in the negative and actual unemployment somewhere nearing 20%, who is fueling the 33% growth in hotels & restaurants ??

People that work in the first two categories are consumers of #3, maybe.

Being in the second category (professional and technical services) I'm finding the demand to be pretty strong even in a down period...I'm getting 10-15 emails and calls a week from recruiters, both locally and nationally...they are having trouble finding people, and one thing I'm finding encouraging is that for many contracts, they aren't looking for H1-Bs..

Bingo!

I do refrigeration/HVAC, as well as electrical. Almost all of the work I can get any more is in resteraunts...kind of hard to outshift serving beer to India.
