Roadmaster. I have been saying I disliked "Invicta" since I heard it as a possibility last year. I feel it's just too "harsh" sounding. Roadmaster, well, sounds classy--reminds me of a powerful, commanding vehicle. For those who don't remember, the name will explain all, master of the road.

I like Roadmaster and voted for it, but it's probably too old sounding for most people. I think that the car will be the next generation Lucerne, but with Bob Lutz's habit (at Ford, Chrysler, and GM) of renaming cars, I can see the Lucerne replacement will be renamed Invicta.

Voted Statesman, because I still believe Buick should keep a 3 sedan line-up.

What I wish, Lucerne replacement to come 1-2 years after the Statesman as a less expensive Zeta based vehicle to bridge the price difference between LaCrosse and Statesman.

My guess is, it depends on what happens over at Pontiac, and what happens with the next LaCrosse. If Pontiac gets a SWB Zeta sedan for a GP replacement, then Buick will probably just get the LWB version. The next LaCrosse will probably be on EpII which should be AWD capable.

Oh, and I voted Invicta. It's just too cool a name to pass up, even though I've warmed to Lucerne after seeing the car.

The last-generation Roadmaster represents everything Buick should be moving away from in future years.

For most of the car-buying public, the name conjures up images of a homely land-yacht with a floaty ride.

Invicta, on the other hand, sounds fresh, elegant, and classy. It has history, but isn't associated with the Buick of the last 15 years.

Other.

Invicta sounds painful, accusing, and unpleasant.

I would with Electra, Lausanne, or possibly Lucerne

Invicta (Latin) -- unconquered, unsubdued, unconquerable, invincible

It's so gloriously pompous that I can't help but love it.

I'd vote for Roadmaster, but Zeta's not the ideal architecture for it, IMO. I voted to keep Lucerne, since they've already invested a bit into it.
