So yesterday was another ho-hum sunny, 75 degree day, then last night came and brought with it the evil storm clouds. I was at my girlfriend's house, which was right in the path of the strom, about two blocks away a tornado dropped, threw some loose stuff around, downed some power lines, ripped off some shingles from a few roofs, nothing too damaging, the worst damage was done by baseball (according to the weatherman it even got to be cell phone sized  ) hail. We had nothing, no hail, just some rain and enough wind to throw up some loose grass and make my car really dirty. At least I thought that was the worst of it, I found out that really wasn't the worst. About four miles west of us a twister came down and took out several houses. But I'm ok, my immediate family is ok, and right now thats all I am concerned with.

glad you're ok. Went through some nasty hail & rain 2 nights ago while driving. Was glad to see no dents in my car when I checked it later. I would guess it wasn't quite golf-ball sized hail.

Cell-phone sized hail, eh? Hope they're small phones!

Yeah, imagine one of those early cell phones.. Yikes.

Like the one Zach Morris used? :P

Glad to hear you're okay Satty :)

We're supposed to get some nasty stuff tonight. I guess that's what happens when it gets to the upper 70's in March (completely wrong for PA). I think I better put the Goat and the truck in the barn tonight.

Two nights of awesome storms!

Luckily I live in southern Michigan, where even if there's a tornado warning, nothing has ever happened in my brief 19 years with memory!

How about a car-related update? A Ford dealership that was right in the path was advertising a "Hail Sale" last weekend, a few hundred to maybe a couple thousand dollars off the price of a damaged car. The evil Chevy dealership, which I hate, which was not in the path of the storm was advertising the same thing, except they were offering like $5000 off new Cobalts and $12k off '07 Tahoes.

I thought Senator Thurmond passed away...

Aye, and apparently he's already convinced God to send his wrath down on those heathen sodomites of the Midwest.

Well, I was just reading the second sentence in Satty's original post... "right in the path of the strom..." :AH-HA_wink:

Yeah, I know. I saw your strom and raised you a heathen sodomite.

:evil James Bond villain voice:

Your move, Mr. Blu.

Aye, so I've been told. I guess that's what happens when you go two years without a haircut (minus minor trims to avoid mullets.)

Last Friday we were in a restaurant having lunch. We looked over... and there was a dude with a glorious mullet. One of my witty friends asked the waitress to ask him if we could "borrow his mullet".:huh:

Q:

What do tornadoes and divorces in Appalachia have in common?

A:

Either way, you lose the mobile home.

Pretty hair? Good Gawd, PB!
