It was the same sort of originality that struck me with that 66 corvette...that was the nicest, most original C2 Corvette I've ever seen, period.

Too bad cars will never gain have the style of the Oakland or the 66 Corvette....

Meh- the Oaky is quite pedestrian for it's era, IMO, but if we're talking about the era in general, then I agree.

C2 Corvette tho, you nailed. Completely unique then and ever since.

While I am still wowwed by the C7 on the street, sometimes I wonder if the loose continuance of the '68 needs a major, C2-esque deviation.... but I'm not sure that such is possible in design anymore. Too many constrictions, where there were none for the C2. Interesting things to muse over in a hammock under a clear blue sky...

SAMENDAI, one of the guys in the TDI club parked his Jetta next to a luxury car parked like that Lambo....guy came out and slashed the Jettas tires...my friend Eric took the guy to court, and forced him to pay for a new set of tires....

LOL... honestly, I don't mind it too much of someone douche-parks out where spaces are wide open... as long as its not right in front of the store.

What really irks me... and happens way too often... but this time there was the perfect storm...

Back when I was finishing up my college degree, the school had major parking problems... and as I came out, some idiot had parked his P.O.S. about 1.5 inches off my driver's side door. Spots were tight enough... I was well in my spot... and the other driver had plenty of room on the other side... it was a striped area next to a wall.

So I got my floor jack and wheel dollies out of the trunk and pushed his car up against the wall... see how he liked it.

Oh, and fantastic ragtop, SA....

Seems like I've tripped across quite a few '71-'76 B-body convertibles lately... makes me think it might be a sign...

Oh, Balthy, I would have LOVED to see that Oakland in person... that patina can't be beat.

Trust me....when Honda engineers complain about building a Civic that weighs as much as a Buick skylark did in 1970.....ughhhh...ain't nobody gonna be happy with what comes down the pike.

And the one thing that I think both you and cubitar would agree on...most Americans are sheeple....perfect for a car like the Camry....

Saw a derelict 1st gen Taurus on the freeway last night...one headlight, hanging at angle...no front or rear bumpers, front fender and hood crumpled. AZ has no annual inspections, so rolling wrecks like this keep rolling along)

Passed a slowing car on the highway last night: lights were flickering & blinking off & on as it drifted over to the shoulder. Couldn't tell for sure if it was a crazed teenager or serious system malfunction.

What I could tell was that... it was a Prius.

Chrysler 300C SRT estate

and

Chrysler 300 estate V6 both today

All 300C wagons I have seen here in Portugal were CRDi (diesel) models. I think the 300C wagon looks better than the Magnum you guys had in the US, but this is of course just IMHO.
