It seems just about all you see here are "Toyota" billboards on nearly every corner. And on TV. The dealers are even stronger here advertising-wise.

I can't help but imagine what a difference it might make by advertising Chevrolet and Cadillac here more. Unfortunately, you can forget about trimming Pontiac/GMC/Buick/Saturn to get the money: they don't advertise here either.

I see just as many Chevy television ads as Toyota ads. The latest are the Edmunds "Head2Head" ones that proclaim "LOS ANGELES IS THE NUMBER ONE MARKET FOR CHEVY" in big, bold letters.

LA is Chevy's number one market? That seems rather surprising to me, as I thought it would be Chicago or some other big city in the midwest.

I was surprised, too, even by my own observations. Just today I saw several Corvettes, '07 Tahoes, and HHRs, and plenty of Suburbans and Silverados. Pontiac, on the other hand, doesn't really exist, apart from rusted-out Grand Ams and rental G6s.

its arbatrary... Los Angeles is everyones major market... more vehicles are sold in cali then anyother state...

more people in cali have more money then any other state as a whole...

it really doesnt do anything but to make los angeles people feel good about themselves, and want to buy a chevy... :pbjtime:
