This nornally might be a silly thing to be joyful over, but:

Finally, the GM logo back on the seat belt buckles, where it belongs. Maybe the fender badges will take a hike now.

Agreed, z. That was a perfect place for the GM logo. Buckling a seatbelt is a gesture of safety. It's an excellent way to convey a feeling of security. You're in a GM vehicle, you're safely buckled in. GM takes care of you, not only with passive safety, but from start to finish. Ownership. That's a very strong image.

I could be the odd one here, but I don't like those buckles. I was glad they got rid of it in my ma's 95 Lumina. They were just a pain to operate. The top buttoned ones now are better IMO. I don't know, but it also looks very dated.

Also, GM's intention for putting the badge on the cars was for other people to see when the cars are just going by, or just sitting on a parking lot. How would people see the logo if it's on the belt buckle? Doesn't serve the purpose well.

Plus there was too much metal... I didn't like how it made my hands smell.

I predict this one will be in at least six sigs.

That's a pretty "safe" prediction. :D
