When I casually remark sometimes "I'd love a BMW 328" most people probably think I'm taking about some 2005 4-door sedan but I'm actually refering to one of these GORGEOUS classics.

Thanks for sharing Hudson, I learned quite a bit, it's very interesting how the car ended up in the hands of the founder of MiG aircraft. The irony is epic.

BMW manufactured aircraft motors for WW1 & WW2 (Mostly Radial Air Cooled motors)

BMW powered FW190s & Ju88s battle the handsome but inferior MiG-3s & subsequent variants in Operation Barbarossa & the resulting retreat & the founder of MiG Aircraft gets one of the most beautiful & significant BMWs of all time as his personal "War Reperation" ?
