BDR is not alone in this. Rumor has it Nascar had some folks over at its Concord NC "reseach" facility to "study" conficated cars from Chevy mostly. Like Tony Stewards car that they took. Also the toyota cup/truck engine has the chevy tranny bolt pattern. The engine is a mix of gm and ford designs anyhow, Nascar wants to have a "common" engine soon.
