Hello Everyone:

I miss many of you guys, and I finally decided to drop by and reconnect with the forum. I'm still alive and passionate about cars as ever.

Still own the 1959 Buick, though the Nailhead is still not reassembled & the car's been off the road for two years now. I've got 214,800 miles on the Mercedes Benz 500SEC and am currently doing a lot of small fixes to that car & Julie (my wife) is still racking up miles on her 1988 BMW 735iL.

My two daughters are both well, though Sofia (turned 6 in January) spends only a couple days a week with us & lives with my ex. Amelia is 17 months old now and she's got quite the personality. I've gotten back into model building and she is obsessed with planes, perhaps as a result but in any case she's living up to her namesake's obsession with flying.

So that's it for now... for those interested you can practically stalk me through my "Flickr" account & see thousands of my photos:

G'night =)

Hey- that was quick!!

Pop in regular- doesn't have to be daily in the least if 'life' is continually calling. I kno I myself waste far too much time here, for reasons I don't understand.... :confused0071:

BTW- if you are still in need of a H2O pump for the B-59, I've got a great NOS guy- have his flyer right here. Welcome back!

Thank You x3.

Balthazar: I guess my phone call to you the other day was what got my "rear in gear" to stop in and say hi. Yes of course you're right I never intended to quit C&G cold turkey but it just sort of happened. As far as the H20 pump I will certainly take you up on that as soon as the motor is back together, just yesterday I spent a few hrs. with the help of XP715 positioning the B-59 (up hill) into the place of honor in my parent's driveway so that I can work on it this spring/summmer and finally get it running if not roadworthy.

A local carburator rebuild shop that does excellent work has already rebuilt my carb. months ago, I've yet to pick it up but after I do I'll be in touch with you to buy that H20 pump. Thanks for thinking of me.

As far as what I have been doing with the time I no longer spend on C&G, between my two jobs I was working up to 72hrs. a week while spending 6-9 hoursd a day with my daughters while Julie works her thankless job. I've gotten back into amateur photography & model building. Here's some recent stuff:

Workin' on the Hardtop Benz this past friday:

1:72 scale F4U Corsair - or as the Imperial Japs called it: "Whistling Death" since it's supercharged PW2800 double row radial (18 cylinders) made a loud whistling sound at full throttle. I built this model just a few weeks ago.

Drop in more often...I've been doing the family thing myself...

Come to Ohio and I'll take you to the air force Museum so you can see Bock's car, the B-29 that dropped the A bomb on Nagasaki...

Glad you still have the B-59!

Thank You guys, your warm reception certainly gives me incentive to rejoin the forum.

Speaking of "Bock's Car" I was just watching some YouTube stuff about B-29s the other day. I'll never get bored with WWII history. =)

I'd love to go on a good roadtrip soon... too bad the money is not there.

I took a long run across the country like Forest Gump. :P
