For some time now we've wanted to add a Wiki feature to C&G to capture the wealth of automotive knowledge we have floating around C&G. We have been waiting patiently for the developer of the IPBWiki software to complete the coding so that we can link your C&G log in to the C&G Wiki.... thus no need for multiple sign on IDs.

It has become clear to me that the IPBWiki software isn't going to be completed anytime soon, and even if it were, the support looks like it will be nearly non-existent.

I've been trying to find ways of moving forward without IPBWiki... what I keep coming back to is just using the MediaWiki software (this is the software that Wikipedia.com uses) and just have to deal with duplicate signons.

Would this be objectionable to those of you who would use it most? Please share your thoughts.

Would have to have a username on C&G and another username on C&G Wiki be a dealbreaker? <could be the same name, but you'd need to sign in twice.>

Hey there, we noticed you're using an ad-blocker. We're a small site that is supported by ads or subscriptions. We rely on these to pay for server costs and vehicle reviews.  Please consider whitelisting us in your ad-blocker, or if you really like what you see, you can pick up one of our subscriptions for just $1.75 a month or $15 a year. It may not seem like a lot, but it goes a long way to help support real, honest content, that isn't generated by an AI bot.

See you out there.
