Yup... as you might have already figured out I'm not on my way to NAIAS. :(

Money, family, timing & frineds, but mostly MONEY were not in my favor this week. Of all the roadtrips I did not want to miss this is a big one. I'm pretty bummed right now. Good thing there's a car show at Adesa auction to take my mind off of things. When is the Penn. Auto show....?

Save your pennies and wait for NYIAS. I'm sure the Camaro will be there, and it's less of a haul for you.

Hmmmm... that's a thought. :)

Yeah, I'm not sure if the Camaro will be in Philly this year. Still, I'm going.

God, I don't even know the Philly show dates. Who wants to meet up there?

Philly Auto Show runs from February 4th thru 12th.... the wife and I will most likely go on Saturday the 4th, regardless of how crowded it will be (we usually go on the first day).

Sixty8, I want to go to the NAIAS every year, but living in NJ and being a high school teacher pretty much rules that out. So I look forward to making the trip to NYC for teh NYIAS every April (or March - it always runs during Easter, starting on Good Friday). Plus the good thing about the NYIAS is that the vehicles intro'ed at the LAIAS, NAIAS & Chicago shows will all come together and be at the NYIAS!

Hmmm... that reminds me, I might be able to gank a free ticket as well... after all, I do work at a dealership. Duh, why din't I think of this sooner?

Sure, B&BL, I'll try to meet up with you guys if that's ok. Anyone else? I'm kind of a last minute kind of guy, so there's plenty of time left.

Ocn... when exactly is the Philly show? If it isn't too soon, perhaps I might sell my ATV and buy a car. Ah... who am I kidding? No one has wanted it yet, so I doubt I'll sell anytime soon. Oh well...

Yup, Feb 4-12... here's the web site if you want to know more info:

Philadelphia International Auto Show

None of my local dealers get free tickets for the public anymore. Even when I worked for a dealership back in 2000 that is in the Philadelphia market, they no longer got free tickets. I'll check with both the Pontiac/GMC dealership we leased our Envoy from and the Saturn dealership I'm working with to get my SKY to see if either of them have free tickets to give me :P

Heh... I've gone to a city 20 miles away before and that took forever and used up a tank by the time I got back. Going to Philly would be insane... :P

Nothing's too far away. Just get your ass up here and buy it. Since I'm desperate, $2700 and it's yours. That's $100 less than what I'm selling it for and $300 less than what you'd pay. That should cover the trip. :D

I always though Superbowl Sunday would be the day to go... it's not bad after 5/6PM, b/c everyone pretty much leaves to go home and watch the game. Of course the show ends earlier that day, so it doesn't really pay unless you plan to spend the entire day there.

What day during the week are you guys planning on going? Maybe I can play hookie from work and meet up - it would be nice to meet some C&G people in person... plus you can all see my car there (Saturn SKY) and tell me how lucky I am to be getting one!!! :P But seriously, what day are you planning?

Come on man. Stop! You are thought of highly here.

I personally will need to go on a weekend day. Any Saturday or Sunday is fine with me.

Hmm.... I might make it to PENN or to NY... or perhaps (just maybe) to both. :D

NOS:

Yup... Sofia's birthday was a blast. XP got me, uh... I mean HER a Hot Wheels track. The classic one wiht the figure 8 and loopty-loop. (sp?) We figured out that the PERFECT combination of cars on it are the white diamond SIXTEEN and blue "Torque Screw" muscle car. They keep flying aroudn the track for hours. LOL
