if i were like a master hot rud builder like ChipFoose or something....i'd take a LONG LONG look at the camaro and get to work building one...im sure its feasable..might take a few tries, but hey i'd have until 2008 to come up with one before anyone else :):)

Sometimes I think car design is too enslaved to practicality. Really, when considering this car, I would not be concerned about trunk accessiblity. I will sacrifice some things for good looks and power.

Yes, not every car needs the trunk lid cut open to the bumper... It needs a taller roof, though..the windshield opening is too low.

Dude get over it. The design was good but not perfect and some things really do need to be addressed before it is produced otherwise the public will nitpick it.

The high beltline/tiny greenhouse is a huge flaw. Why? $h!ty open-air driving experience. I would say the quality of open-air driving experience is pretty integral to the success of the Camaro.

Also, the trunk access would be easy to fix. Ridiculously easy to fix, without restraining the design. Just extend the cutlines down vertically.

A trunk opening down to the bumper would help for shoving things into the trunk, with probably just a slight reduction in structural rigidity, but it sure would beat the big old hatchbacks of the last two generations. The only thing that really bothers me on the concept, aside from the interior, are the tiny mirrors.

As I write, Discovery Channel has a piece on the behind the scenes development of the new Camaro.  Great stuff!

Was it Rides? Do you know when it will be on again?

...sorry not sure when it's on again....no it wasn't 'Rides'....it was a general interest technology show in Canada.
