I really don't understand why you guys think .com is American. It stands for "commercial". I find it extremely ironic that one of the most patriotic countries in the world doesn't use their country-specific suffix (.us).

Canadians have and use .ca, Brits use .uk, but Americans insist on sticking with .com for some reason, which really shouldn't be done for non-commercial sites like this one.

I think that .com is American because American companies have exploited it more than most other countries. .co.country tends to be something that other countries do.

nah. in the US we are capitalists. meaning making every dime we can.

.com = Commerece usally dealing with making money. make sense.

besides we are very open fourm does it matter that bad that we are from the U.S.? its not like we make fun of every foreign person or car or anything really. hell we even have foreign fans here! thats what keeps this site on top. All those fueds we have.
