What a way to start a holiday..... I got word this morning that an old friend of mine was killed in an accident at home. I don't know the entire details. He is survived by his partner of 12+ years.

What I'm thankful for, more than anything else, is the love and devotion from my partner Albert. Through the most trying of times he is there with me ready to do whatever needs to be done to get through... and he deserves a lot of credit for putting up with a grump like me.

I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving holiday. I plan on laying low the rest of the week. Try not to fight too much.

Sorry to hear it drew.

Amazing how easy it is to die...brother of a guy I know was killed yesterday in a simple fall at home. Hit his head and went to sleep...forever.

But again, sorry for the loss. Hopefully his partner will have a better time of things after the grieving process.

Thankful that I've been able to keep my job another year in the car business when it's in such a shambles all around, that's one thing.

So here's what happened....

Apparently he was in an accident. He must have hit a pole or something, the front end of the car was smashed in.

He managed to drive the car home and get it in the garage.

Apparently there was a fuel leak and the garage filled with gas fumes

A spark caused a flash fire that lasted about 5 seconds, but completely deprived the garage of oxygen.

They found him in the car.

That is really sad Olds.
