I'm guessing I'm one of the oldest people here...

Maybe this ought to be posted in the trivia threads, but here are some clues as to my age:

I was born when Eisenhower was president.

The DeSoto Adventurer engine was newly available across all DeSoto model lines the year I was born.

I was born the last year the Fiero was made, first year of the w-body Grand Prix and on the anniversery of Pearl Harbor. :D

All of us December babies are cool, aren't we? I'm a handful of days later than you. Obviously, the year differs.

Born in the decade/era of the first Mustang, Camaro, hippies, Nixon and when purchasing a home in the San Francisco Bay Area was doable ( :lol: to the latter).

I was born in the same year that Chrysler's H-bodies were introduced, which was the same year that the E-bodies received a mild facelift so as to better compete with Ford's all-new and radically shaped Taurus.

So, guessing games eliminated, I am 19 years old.

I'm not a big NASCAR fan but I think Lee Petty won the Daytona 500 (just barely) in an Oldsmobile the year I was born.

I'm old enough to remember ...

- when MTV played music videos...and when there was no MTV.

- when there were Buick Opels.

- when Jimmy Carter was elected.

- when Elvis died.

- when the Mustang II was still in showrooms.

- when their were black Firebirds with big gold birdies on the hood in showrooms.

- when Hot Wheels still had redline tires.

- when a Charger Daytona looked like a Cordoba with a stripe kit.

- when my favorite TV shows were Rockford Files, CHiPs, and Starsky & Hutch.

Hey Neon.... I beat yah!

When I was born, FDR was pres.

The first ------- -------- happened at the University of Chicago.

It was the last year of the Buick 80/90 Limited.

It was also the year of the horse.

i was born 2 days before 16 christmas's ago!

I'm twenty. I can't think of anything important in the automotive world that happened on my birthday. I know the year wasn't. Stupid 80's.

Thank goodness! From the poll results, it appears that there are at least four people older than me on this forum. And RichW5 is one of them :)

The year I was born Oldsmobile Super 88s and 98s were powered by the first year 394 V8, and Buick Electras & Invictas came with the first year 401 V8.
