I know I did.

I remember last winter.. January/February-ish going to the gas station where a random gas pumper asked if the Camaro was mine...

"Yep, sure is."

"Well you oughtta take good care of 'er. Ya know.. they don't make those anymore!"

"Nope, but they're coming sooner than you expect."

"You think so?"

"My proof will be at the next international auto show in detroit. In January of '06"

He gave me a "stupid kids" look. Well, I wasn't gonna lie!

Hey NOS,

Congrats on getting your proof....

Ya'll who love Camaros are so lucky right now ... you might say I'm a wee bit jealous. Yeah, I like the new concept, but it's a Camaro ... not my "cup of tea", so to speak. I'd much rather be talking about how Chevrolet finally brought back the Monte Carlo ... after it left the scene and never came back after 1988....

*shrugs*

But, such is life ... enjoy your proof, NOS!

LIke I've been saying I was not holding my breath for a concept in 2006 and a production car in 2008 (MY2009) but I was hoping, praying and writting letters to GM.

I NEVER doubted that the Camaro would come back but every so often I'd get scared that it would have a GTO style hiatus. That would SUCK!

I love the new Camaro concept. It makes the Mustang look postively dated and I mean in a bad way. And the Challenger is too much a carbon copy of the original. The Camaro is a thoroughly modern design. Life is good again.

I never stopped believing. Some of my coworkers have thought I was completely insane but now they are drooling over this one as much as I am.

I guess I'm not going to get my hopes up until I see the real thing in showrooms...it would be nice if they do build it and it's within 50% of the concept and the do it before I'm 40!

I knew it was coming back in 02'.

From what I heard it was going to be built at the brand new shinny Lansing area plant. i heard this in 03 and they were building this plant in 05 sooo......

I figured it would come back, but I also figured GM would take its good sweet time getting it here. Life is too short GM! Stop dithering around and build it already!

Now they need to adopt this mentality about B-body replacememnts. I would prefer BOF but I'l settel foir Unibdy, three thisngs whoever MUST be a psrt of the formula. 1. RWD, 2. V8 availability if not standard, 3. FULL size room inside and out
