Little Johnny's mother specifically instructed him to quite disturbing his Grandfather while he is watching the football game.

It's quite disturbing that some board members do not know how to spell quit.

No offense... it just popped into my head... so i felt i had to use quite, and quit together :) Edited by Newbiewar

For the sake of actually using it as a brain teaser, I'll give it a try, with a conversation between a couple hicks. Bill: What's that you done to yer IROC? George: I got a turbocharger for it! Bill: How's that work? George: Hell if I know, but disturbin' sure does make it scoot!

Oh...uh....disturbing.

The most disturbing thing to me about the 2006 Cadillac lineup is the lack of a RWD land yacht sedan with a hardtop greenhouse.

but it would compete with which other car in that segment...? You might get a hardtop one day from Cadillac (doubtful), but don't count on seeing another land yacht!

I got smoked, badly, by an Impala SS this morning. It wasn't too disturbing, though, considering he had twice as much horsepower as me.

If high gas prices are disturbing the sales of GMs large SUVs, why doesn't the General just subsidize up to 1000 gallons a year at 2.00 a gallon. Total cost would only be 6,000.00 over three years which is about where the current incentives are anyway. I would buy one tomorrow if I didn't have to worry about gas prices!

I would find that kind of gamble disturbing, since they could really get hurt financially if gas prices shot up.

It is obviously a typograhical error not a lack of spelling knowledge.

By the way I looked back at your past posts and I don't think you want to start a pissing match over spelling (or correct usage in your case). It would really be a case of the "pot calling the kettle black"

[post="60240"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]

Yeah, so right now they would only be subsidizing about 1-1.50 a gallon without a discount, or .9-1.35 a gallon. If prices hit the worst that anyone is forecasting you're still only talking about a spike in the 4.00 range, so the discounted subsidy would be 2.70 a gallon. With the amount of guaranteed customers GM would be providing the fuel company, they could wrangle a better deal than 10% discounting. By tying the fuel card to a GM credit card they would also get back 1-2% of the purchase price in merchant credit card fees. The worst hit that I could see would be 2.40 a gallon if prices hit 4.00. IF all 1000 gallons were used for all three years the total burden would still only be 7200.00 amortized over a three year period. That, with returns from investing the escrow, has to be better than straight 6,000.00 incentives that makes it look like they can't give them away.

Admit, it! It's a pretty good idea and my ingenuity is what is disturbing to you! Edited by funkypunnk

Hey, nothing wrong with car porn. The only time when the porn isn't acceptable is when it's "car-less" and not appropriate for the context of the thread, something any halfway intelligent adult can figure out.

Hmmm....

I find it _disturbing_ that GM/Chevrolet actually has people believing that the Monte Carlo, Impala and Malibu are currently in production ... when none of them are RWD.

*shrugs*

Course, I also find it _disturbing_ that I've no buried 2 grandparents within a 3 year timespan.

Anybody who doesn't find BV to be disturbing is extremely disturbing. :D

The fact that the Pontiac lineup doesn't not consist of atleast one mid-engined car is disturbing.

My brain is disturbing.

All haters of anything about the 5th gen Grand Am is beyond disturbing. That includes drive wheels, styling, interior, spoiler, cladding, name, having sex, etc. If you hate that, you are disturbing. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. :P

People are disturbing.

People who hate anything I love are especially disturbing and deserve to die. B)

This thread was inspired by Chief. <== credit where credit is due.

Croc, why must you be such a barrel of laughs all the time? Can't you just click on the link to the photo, get the joke, and not go any further than that? I wouldn't have known it was "porn" until you told the whole board. I swear, you're like one of these ultra-conservative "family values" groups, you don't even realize you're making people more curious to see what's "forbidden" by ranting about what you find offensive. Duh, your scolding is having the opposite effect of what you intend!

What exactly are those girls doing in that picture Harley posted? If I saw that in real life, I'd feel disturbed enough to run.

Okay then, I thought this was supposed to be a series of one liners... but since it has turned into a tennis match:

Some closed minded people find it disturbing when an automotive manufacturer makes a vehicle that does not conveniently "fit" into a current segment. If it does not belong in a convenient little box then the marketplace will never support it and it will be disturbingly unsuccessful. Even more disturbing to these people is when a manufacturer CREATES a niche with a new product that has absolutely no history or track record of success. That kind of gamble is the most disturbing of all to people who are afraid of risk taking. But this is why vehicles like the Chevy Avalanche/Cadillac EXT, Cadillac CTS-V and Dodge Magnum are so awsome. They disturb the status quo.

More disturing in my oppinion is the complacency to come up with NO new ideas because it might rock the boat.

My point was just that Cadillac needs to build vehicles that compete in large markets first before going after niches. GM needs money, and practicality comes into play. I even said you might see a hardtop one day from Cadillac, but still, I wouldn't expect a land yacht. Plus, what's revolutionary about land yachts? We've had them since the 1950s.

*whispers* Psst... People... chill out, stop being bitter, and love each other, damnit. Grudges are bad... if they weren't, I'd still be pissed off at just about everybody here (exaggerated). So... please shut up and drop it already! *stops whispering* *thinks about irony...* :AH-HA_wink:

Another thing that's disturbing is the lack of commitment I have... :D

Disturbing is best described how our 5 year old 27" Sony TV just died while we have to use our 17 year old 24" Sony TV in place of it... all while my old 7 year old 13" Orion cheapo TV still works over at my aunts... Damn TVs...

Yes you're right. That's why I had a disclaimer to disclose the fact, I didn't want to offend you. I was merely making an example about how disturbing spelling can be. Often times, a simple spelling mistake might be disturbing, confusing, or even incorrect.

hrmm... look what you have me doing. Trying to do my best and make no gramatical errors due to the fact I dont want to start a pissing match. Because english is my worst subject; however, thats water under the bridge. I suppose I'll piss into the wind...

I find it disturbing when people make criticisms of others that apply to themselves as well, and remain clueless about it. PS: Did NOBODY like my pun?
