This ElCamino speaks to me. I could definately imagine myself cruising in this purple beast. And perhaps B&BL can give us an update on how Camino is doing these days. I have not seen him around in a while either. :(

Funny you should say that... me and Ross were talking about evil things one could do to a car that would be funny. I said it would be great to be a Superhero with a car crusher.

Drive around with a portable car crusher, (18-wheeler) and one of those magnetic arms and just pick up every ricer in sight, crush it into a cube and leave "Fashion Police Citation" on the remaining cube. Then on the opposite end of things, leave a cashier's check for $20,000 under the windshield of any beat up old American car in need of rear quarters, a left fender and a grille. A note attached would read: this money to be used only towards the restoration of your (1969 Oldsmobile 442).

--- OR ---

How funny would it be to T-bone some rare POS overglorified Import car in a scummy, flat black 1959 biscayne or a '37 Chevy Rat Rod Pickup? Id' step out of the black beast, radiator hissing & snarling, steam pouring out of the twised metal, the grille looking like the mouth of Jaws. Just calmly walk over to the guy at fault. His 2005 McLaren-Mercedes SLR AMG one-of-one produced in Razor-Red it totaled, ripped in half like a loaf of bread and he's having a hissy-fit!

"Do you realize what kind of car this is? This is an SLR, It cost me $700,000 all togeather after the AMG package!!! It WAS the only one like it in the world before your ugly shitbox rammed inot the door at 50mph!!!"

I'd step back and say:

"You greedy, stuck-up Son-ova-bitch! DO YOU have any idea how hard it's going to be for me to find a replacement grille for my Chevy on eBay!? Fu*k your snobby german shitbox!"

Even more satisfying would be the destruction of an Acura NSX, Lexus SC430 or Maybach. You can say it: I've spend WAAAAAAYY too much time thinking about this. :D Edited by Sixty8panther

While I've always liked the '59 El Camino, none have impressed me as much as this one!  I'm assuming that the factory never two-toned them like that, right?

Now you got me wondering about the factory two-toned. It looks incredible on this car. I'm crazy about this year of Camino...the way the top of the roof sweeps back and kind of repeated in the fin...the waterfall windshield...love it.

And Sixty8, when you mentioned the horrible Prius, I got thinking how people have settled for so little, settled for bland, the politically correct, the dullest of dull, an appliance for the road, no passion, no emotion, no soul. Edited by HarleyEarl
