Benz R-Class Rocks with Stones

They're the rockers that got their fame in the Sixties and now are firmly in their sixties; it's the big crossover with a certain star quality. Together they're heading out on tour in the fall, one to support a new album and an ever-shorter retirement, the other to celebrate its U.S. market launch. The Mercedes-BenzR-class wagon is hitting the road with the Rolling Stones on this fall's stadium outing for their new album A Bigger Bang.

Hey, Celine is my favourite chanteuse!

I bet Celine looks better naked. The Stones tour should be sponsored by Depends, Batesville Casket Co. and Rob's Big House of Crackpipes.

Hard to think of a more unlikely marketing pairing than mercedes and the Stones.

Well, it actually makes a little sense. The stones are getting up there in age and the people who followed the Stones way back in the day are getting older and are likely to have more money to blow on a car and have kids or grandkids, so a vehicle like the R-class kind of works. It would be really strange to have an MB commercial with a Stones soundtrack. Then again, they did it with Janis Joplin back in the 90's. Edited by Satty

At least with Cadillac & Led Zepplin, the image of Robert Plant is primarily when he was in his 30s(?). Jagger & Richards look like they're in their 80s. Wonder if it'll nudge up the average buyer age of mercedes?? :P
