Do all of these have some sort of accessory or no? I don't like the brush guard at all, but the wheels are decent and the luggage rack, is well, a luggage rack. The chrome gas cap is a nice touch will the black but I don't like it with the tan. I really like the pic of the front clip in silver. Thanks for posting these.

Same here! Last I remember, it's standard (w/out an option) on the two upper level trims :(

I remember hearing that the brushed aluminum would only come on the entry level model, and "plood" on everything else.

If the brushed aluminum is only on the entry model, I'm sure you could get your dealer to work something out since the trim pieces should be pretty interchangeable. It might cost a little, but the dealer can ALWAYS order in "replacement parts" and swap them ;)

Yes, but the less a dealer needs to touch a brand new vehicle, the better. Interior trim pieces, if not worked with properly, will show damage from prying etc. So, I rather it be something done from the factory.

That's just it, though. They are replacing the plood pieces with new brushed aluminum panels. Anything not to your satisfaction can be requested for repair...including damage to interior trim by the dealer. Prying should be kept at a minimum, especially since the wood surrounds the center stack and they can easily slip out the radio or something to make it easier. The dash is made of the squishy vinyl so it shouldn't have the scuffs and pry marks like plastic would.

Again, yes you are right... but do you really want to go through all that on a brand new vehicle?

I went through it with some warranty work on the Camaro. The window switch went bad, so they replaced the switch with surrounding trim, but damaged the housing it went into. So, I had them replace the housing and in doing so they damaged the switch surrounding.

So... in my opinion, I rather not have the dealership do any work, if it can be avoded.

Well, not to be annoying, but I highly doubt GM will change their factory setup just for you. This swap is likely the only way, and just be upfront with the dealership that any interior trim damaged in the process will need to be replaced under warrenty. Dealers hate warrenty work; that should be enough of a deterrant for them.

What is plood? To me, it sounds like another word for crap so I was thinking, "What could be crap on the new Tahoe?"

I wouldn't mind a little plood I guess (though I really dislike it), but the dash is covered in huge planks of it. GM, let us get rid of it without a hassle!

The plood isn't great, but I think it's better than just having it be empty black space. Aluminum would be better though.

Honestly, at least from the pictures it looks like it COULD be real. I know it isn't, but it is at least a good imitation. I think it looks better than the aluminum, which strikes me as rather spartan.

I think the whole redesign looks great. I think the only turn off for me would be if it's still not offered in stick shift which I doubt it is. Other then that bravo GM for a design well done!!!!

Hey. That tan photo vehicle is in the new '07 Tahoe brochure without the GM accessories thrown on. As a matter of fact, the backgrounds are the same too. As for the accessories, they look okay. The aftermarket will have better designs, though.
