Are they going to do the whole series, or just this book? Because if they do the whole series I might be interested, but if they're just doing the most popular one, that's weak.

I read they're doing the whole series.

I'm a big fan of C. S. Lewis. My hope is that they didn't take too much "artistic license" when makin this film. I think we're going to see it this weekend.

It seems like they're trying to do this series along the lines of the Lord of the Rings series. I would think they wouldn't need to make as many changes to make it fit the time, though. I don't recall the Narnia books being quite as detailed and drawn out as I've heard the Lord of the Ring books described.

I'm gonna go see it next week when all of my family come's up for Christmas, can't wait, I'm re-reading the book to refresh my memory before I see it, I read the book back in Middle school, so it's been a while. I haven't read any of the other book's though, I'll try getting to those.

If they're doing the whole series, they're kind of doing it strangely. The Lion... was the first one published, but it is actually second chronologically, thats like if they had done The Two Towers before The Fellowship of the Ring.

Actually, Satty...many boxed sets used to have the order of starting with Lion and ending with Magician's Nephew. Newer editions put Magician's Nephew first as C.S. had originally intended the order to be.

Order published: 1. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (1950) 2. Prince Caspian (1951) 3. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (1952) 4. The Silver Chair (1953) 5. The Horse and His Boy (1954) 6. The Magician's Nephew (1955) 7. The Last Battle (1956) Reading order: 1. The Magician's Nephew (1955) 2. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (1950) 3. The Horse and His Boy (1954) 4. Prince Caspian (1951) 5. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (1952) 6. The Silver Chair (1953) 7. The Last Battle (1956) The Magician's Nephew shouldn't be last either way. Still good stuff, I hope they do the whole series, in any order.

In a 1955 letter, CS Lewis said that he preferred the Magician's Nephew first, but that he also conceded that the series could be read in any order.

Knowing Disney, they're lame enough to stop right there theaterwise, and offer all the rest straight-to-DVD.

this movie made 70 million this weekend; you can bet the sequel is already being scheduled for filming. I saw it yesterday, it's intensely beautiful, probably the most fun movie I've seen this year.
