If GM is to start another business...

OK, as the title: If GM is to start another business, division, group, whatever you call it, what would this be? For me it would be a official modding company. Provide original SS, GXP, V, T-Type, Alpha performance and appeareance modifications while maintaining factory warranty. A bit different from RKSport (don't know if this is owned by GM though), where they only sell parts. My idea is a one stop shop to sell the parts AND provide service like installation.

A farm equipment company. With all the 3800 haters out there that compaire the 3800 to a John Deere, apparently GM is missing a potential market considering John Deere is one of the most respected farm equipment manufacturers out there. P.S. I'm not a 3800 hater, I just don't think the application in the Lucerne is appropriate.

I've dreamt of this many times before... Basically one that makes sport-bikes and... a first... road legal sport-ATVs. They would be badged as Pontiacs, obviously. The bikes would be mixes of... Buell and Yamaha. The attitude and sound of Buell with the finesse and power of Yamaha. They would be the ultimate. The ATVs would be truly unique. They would offer light-weight aluminum structures, liquid-cooled aluminum hi-po engines with dual exhaust, independent front and rear sport suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, projector beam headlights, LED taillights and turn signals, hand gaurds with built in mirrors, fully digital guage cluster, large 15" wheels, and street tires. :D

Very simple, go into the medical business.... build GM hospitals and have GM medical groups to help regin in those health care costs.

Better yet.. I know Harry would've liked this.. why doesn't GM just buy Viagra and produce those little pills instead of buying them for the retirees?

Wouldn't Pontiac bikes be confused with Indian? :) On a more serious note, I think Pontiac would be a great motorcycle manufacturer....maybe they can discover their mojo, and some real autonomy from Chevy and Caddy.... Edited by LosAngeles

Right... Make the Fiero an ATV. It's mid-engined, right?

GM should make a division that does motorcycles, watercraft, snowcraft, ATV's and utilitarian type stuff such as tractor/lawn mowers, and 2/4 stroke engines that can be implemented across a wide range of products such as go-karts and dirt bikes and such...in other words, like a Yamaha or Kawasaki or even Honda...they produce all that kind of stuff and I think it would be great for GM to get into...if Honda can do it, why can;t GM (then again, Honda doesn;t have nearly as many brands as GM, but still)
