And I don't think YOU know what you're talking about.

Toyota just introduced the Lexus brand in Japan. There's NO possibility that Lexus is going away anytime soon.

You probably read something along the lines "Disolving Pontiac, Buick, GMC or Cadillac is almost as unlikely as disolving Lexus"

It would look that way with the new designs coming out of Toyota. It's going to be hard to tell the brands appart from eachother in a few years. It's entirely not true though. Lexus is the #1 selling luxury brand in the US. I don't think Toyota would get rid of it if it was that profitable. Unless Toyota is meeting it's promise and trying to "help" the American auto companies.....hahaha.. that would be hilarious. :lol:

You're probably thinking of something I said. I was bitching about Wall Street analysts, saying they wouldn't be so quick to off a brand if it was one that they bought their cars from. I used Lexus strictly for argument's sake, knowing full well that it will never happen.

Quite the opposite, for the first 16 years of it's existance Lexus was USA only Toyota rebadge jobs now it's goign global.
