It was a UPS Dodge Caravan. What was so odd was that all of it's badges were removed.

I wonder what's up with that.

Odd to see a UPS Caravan. The badge removal seems to be a standard UPS thing--every UPS truck from their usual parcel vans to Econolines to International semis that I've noticed has the badging removed. I guess they have a fear of ornamentation and branding...just like some people won't wear clothes with brand logos.

I don't think that the Mack Bulldog ornament is used as a "hood pull" on UPS trucks. It was fairly recent that UPS allowed Mack Trucks to install the bulldog ornament on their trucks... for years & years UPS Mack tractors did not come with the bulldog ornament. According to the tour guide at the Mack "Macungie Assembly Operations" plant I had last year for my student's tour, he stated that "UPS does not want any manufacturer's names or emblems installed on their vehicles as they do not want to advertise for those comapnies". He went on to say that it's Macks's company policy/tradition to have the bulldog on every Mack truck built and it was negotiated with UPS that all new Mack trucks will have the bulldog installed. So if the info he stated is true, then that could explain why the Caravan has no ornamentation. Just my :twocents: being put in here!!

That's funny. I wonder if the USPS is following suit. I recently saw a USPS IH truck in Manhattan with no branding. I thought it was odd, as it was pretty new looking, so they were likely not gone by attrition.
