Within the last couple of weeks, I saw "Slumdog Millionaire." I thought it would a comedy, when someone told me about the "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" theme. It was anything but. It was probably one of the most powerful movies I've ever seen :mind-blowing: If anyone is feeling down, see this movie and you will feel better...we don't have it that bad.

A co-worker has also lent me "Shawshank Redemption" and "Primal Fear." They are mid-90s movies I've never seen. Both are also really powerful....the first for all its messages about life (and an unbelievable Morgan Freeman performance) and the second one for the way the courtroom drama and forensics stuff plays out, not to mention the bizarre ending (plus Richard Gere doesn't act like Richard Gere and is actually convincing as the defense attorney). I told my co-worker to lend me more entertaining movies in the future.

Seen any interesting flicks lately?

one of my all time favorites.

In the theater, I've seen "The International"(solid international thriller w/ Clive Owen) and "Watchmen" (which didn't live up to the hype, IMHO).

Haven't seen "Primal Fear" since it came out, but I remember Gere and Ed Norton as excellent...always liked Ed Norton.

I've seen "Shawshank" a couple of times, excellent movie.

At home over the last 3 weeks, via Netflix, I've watched "Body of Lies" (good spy drama w/ Leo DeCaprio and Russell Crowe) ,"Appaloosa", "Pride and Glory" (Ed Norton again), "Changeling", "Leatherheads", and "Flash of Genius"--all worth seeing, IMHO...... and caught a few old Clint Eastwood westerns on TNT--"Pale Rider", "Outlaw Josey Wales", and "Joe Kidd"..hadn't seen those in years..also got dragged into watching "Nights in Rodanthe", definitely a chick flick, but Gere and the always appealing Diane Lane have great chemistry. Loved Gere's Jag XK8 in it.

Not until now. The name threw me off. I thought it would be a "Schindler's List" type movie.

Saw PUSH over the weekend and that movie Rocked! :metal:

Actually sat and watched all 3 High School Musicals. #1 was good, #2 was corny and #3 was passable. Wife loved them as did the daughter so over all I earned BIG Brownie points for watching them with the ladies.

Watched Transporter #3 last night, really liked it. Good action flick.

Watched Presidio last night also and that movie rocks. :metal:

I pretty much watch at least one movie each night, a way to wind down for my wife and I after a busy day. Will post what we watched tomorrow.

For those who like Shawshank, you should watch the Pelican Brief, that is another awesome movie.
