I love it when people post pictures of cars, but not the damage they state in the ad.

Exactly my thought...I saw that today, and just thought I'd post it given the 300M+damaged for cheap thought.

I should list the Buick on CL and just say it "needs engine work" but fail to mention that work is the small matter of reassembly.

Yeah, that's effin annoying.

Sixty9, you;re good at hunting down this sort of thing, I volunteer you to help me. :P

I'm on it like Flys on stink. Actually not really cause right now

I'm off to bed. I had an exhausting day. Did a lot of work

underneath the dash/instrument panel of the BMW. I swear I

have never seen a car with 89,000 miles that had so much

broken on the interior... someone really abused this thing.

I will keep my eyes peeled for you.

One more quick note... the wrong-fluid theory Caprice mentioned

may be partially to bame but my friend's grandfather had a 1994

Eagle Vision with the 3.2 and the trans blew at 24k miles, no prior

service or problems....

You mean 3.3? 3.2 was only offered on the 2nd gen LH cars..and that was it.

Anyway, I know you have a knack for finding this sort of thing, so if you come across one (ideally with a black interior but that's just a bonus), let me know.

So, I called a few junkyards yesterday.

Jack's is saying 350 but I don't think the old guy heard me properly...and wanted me to come down and take a look and hung up.

Hollands said they had a 3.2 that I could get (I told them I wanted a complete drop) for $650.

A lot cheaper than timing chains. I may go to both places tomorrow and check them out.

I found out today that when the shop found mucky oil they did a compression test. The results that cylinder 1 was reading 55 psi...which is 45% below what it should be. I forget what #5's readout was, but it was also well below what it should be.
