"Nice LeBaron." "No, it's a Maserati."

Can't laugh too hard at this one - my first car was a non-turbo Colt. But in the spirit of the thread, here goes.

Oh man, I haven't seen one of those sad Monacos in forever. And with a longitudinally-mounted engine and FWD, I can see how they could have inspired the LH cars.

Yeah, there's documentation about it somewhere on allpar.

In my business, Mopar is the worst for unexpected engineering changes to replacement parts throughout a given model year. For example on a Grand Cherokee, if it needs a replacement hatch gate, you have to buy a whole new wiper motor and latch because somebody found a problem somewhere and decided to completely redesign the whole thing internally. The list is endless and it's on just about every Mopar product. They even changed the look of the outside belt moldings on Rams, so if you replace one, you have to replace all of them so they match in appearance, the old style molding is no longer available. It all seems so random. So yes, Chrysler's engineers are still known for being overzealous.

Speaking of Mopeys, check out this motor--bigger than a Hemi..

I always liked the front end of the St. Regis..haven't seen one in ages...most in Ca were probably totaled in TJ Hocker and other '80s cop shows...
