At this point, I'd guess that I have about 6 or 7k in the truck. I expect to have to sell it at a loss as is.

Engine hoist won't lift it high enough ??

Can you lift the bed and block it up a foot or so, but leave it over the

frame and still have room to access the tanks? 12" wide concrete blocks on end on the rails, wrap the bed/block/frame tight w/ tie downs, leave the hoist on the tailgate end for extra support...

I considered that option, but my faith in the engine hoist isn't real high. I'm going to go the chainfall and tie-down route. I'll set it up, lift the bed just enough, and roll the truck out from under. I may leave the bed suspended in midair and just back the truck back under it when I'm done.

Felt really tired last night and not so great generally, so it will be today that I give this a shot.

Time to quit stalling and get out there to give this a try. Even with 2 kerosene heaters and a space heater it's cold in the barn (18 degree low predicted tonight), but I need to get this done.
