Is anyone else interested in this 2nd Annual NO fee gathering??? The 1st Annual MidSummer Chitown Gathering (July 26, 2008) featured 65 people in attendance!

Should we have this 2nd Annual Gathering at Nick's Pizza...or return to Steak'n'Shake?

I missed the Elgin Car Show, Saturday, September 6, 2008, because of the ValveReplacement/Adult Congenital Heart Association Chicagoland Mini Reunion that day in Geneva IL. I will keep tabs on the website...

Yeah, I know this is a LONG way off ... but want to be sure people have the opportunity to mark the calendars and save the date NOW.

So far, about 5 people have noted interest in this. Given the awesome turnout we had this past July, I would expect that number to grow over the next few months.... Details will be shared/posted as available.

As I look to get this 2009 event organized, those of you who plan to stay in the area Saturday night and go to the Sycamore IL show Sunday, would you rather stay in an Elgin area hotel or a Sycamore area hotel? I'm guessing hotels in the Elgin area will have more rooms available, but we'll see....

ALSO...after speaking with Natasha of Nick's Pizza Pub this weekend, Nick's might be the best place to meet in 2009, but we will see how the event on October 18 goes....

...should be the choice place for this 2nd ANNUAL MidSummer CHITOWN GATHERING.

65 people joined us for the 1st ANNUAL MidSummer CHITOWN GATHERING (July 26, 2008; at Steak'n'Shake). Nick's can certainly support that many people AND MORE.... Nick's has plenty of parking, most of it viewable from the outdoor patio. At Nick's, however, we will probably need to set a time for lunch ... probably about 1:30p ... so that we can reserve the tables needed. But, we'll see....

Next week, I will contact the special events department at Nick's to get plans rolling. More to come!
