>>"When did this happen? Oh yea... when Obama was 4?"<<

Would you invite Chuckie Manson over to dinner? After all, that bad sh!t was way back in '69, he's a changed man because... the calendar has changed a few times. Oops- there's your doorbell!

You're comparing Obama to Charles Manson? You just lost a LOT of credibility there, buddy. Manson was at least an adult back in '69, not FOUR.

Jesus Christ, shall we go into John McCain's childhood? I heard that when dirt was finally invented (Micky was about 9 years old) that the Mickster grabbed a lump and threw it in some other kids eyes!

By your "logic" it seems that any child who attends Catholic school is going to grow up to be a child molester. So yeah, lets not talk about the hundreds of thousands of dollars that Micky took from Charles Keating in the 80's because it happened so long ago. The actions of a Senator dont matter nearly as much as what an 8 year old may or may not have been subject to.

Well Duh. By 8 he should know better, but ask Palin about being in a position of power...it's not your fault. You didn't know!

So it would seem that we have a believer that feels currently the GOP is going more conservative and yet with the Young Moderate GOPS, in 20-30 years they will finally bring balance to the GOP Force.

Hate to break your dream but 20 to 30 years of more of the same BS from the GOP will trully destroy this country. That we can not afford while waiting for the young moderates to learn how to manipulate the GOP Party and gain the power to make changes. GOP is lost in an ultra conservative religous do what we say, not what we do propaganda drive.

Sadly, the Democrates seem to have gone down a Socialist agenda that could possibly destroy that party as well. At least Biden believes in a constant balanced budget. This would help balance out Obama's Socialist Agenda. Better then the current McCain agenda.

One could make arguments either way. Besides, i think Al Gore is the epitome of "Do what i say, not what i do."

So this is even funnier because its more true?

COURIC: You've cited Alaska's proximity to Russia as part of your foreign policy experience. What did you mean by that?

PALIN: That Alaska has a very narrow maritime border between a foreign country, Russia, and on our other side, the land-- boundary that we have with-- Canada. It-- it's funny that a comment like that was-- kind of made to-- cari-- I don't know, you know? Reporters--

COURIC: Mock?

PALIN: Yeah, mocked, I guess that's the word, yeah.

COURIC: Explain to me why that enhances your foreign policy credentials.

PALIN: Well, it certainly does because our-- our next door neighbors are foreign countries. They're in the state that I am the executive of. And there in Russia--

COURIC: Have you ever been involved with any negotiations, for example, with the Russians?

PALIN: We have trade missions back and forth. We-- we do-- it's very important when you consider even national security issues with Russia as Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where-- where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border. It is-- from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right there. They are right next to-- to our state.

Thats an excerpt from her interview with Katie Couric.

The difference between Lynne Spears and Sarah Palin? Not lipstick!

Lynne Spears is aghast at the injustice of the way she and her teenage daughter, Jamie Lynn Spears, were treated compared to Sarah Palin when her teenage daughter, Bristol Palin's pregnancy was revealed.

She has a point. Two mothers. Two pregnant teenage daughters who have -- and will -- keep their babies. Two very different public outcries.

Lynn was widely vilified as a bad mother who hadn’t raised Jamie Lynn with proper morals, who probably encouraged her daughter to keep her baby so she could use them as a money-making device (selling the pregnancy story and baby photos to OK!). Jamie Lynn was accused of having grown up too fast, gone Hollywood and for having sex at such a young age.

By contrast, Alaska Gov. Palin, John McCain's VP running mate, staunch advocate against abortion and for abstinence, was heralded as being a good mother for supporting her pregnant daughter and advising her to keep her baby. Few thought she'd been irresponsible for not teaching her daughter about birth control.

Bristol has received the velvet glove treatment and goes unscathed by criticism for her morals or her behavior, even when she did her command performance at the Republican National Convention with her boyfriend/baby daddy.

On and environmentalist politicians who have several houses and personal jets are any better? Both sides have double standards.

True the Democrats have their own double standards, that is why I consider myself an Independant.

Personally, the VP should be voted on their own merit as well as the P. This would mean you could vote for the best person possible for the white house.

McCain / Biden would do well, at least better than Obama / Palin could. Who knows if this really was a free country we could end up with an Athiest Independant President and a Democratic or Republican VP.

Course this would also mean getting rid of the Joke of a system call the college and allowing the true popular vote to decide the election rather than an elite group of people.

But the atheist may impose his... lack of?... beliefs onto others.

No Problem, we would remove that issue of having religion try and tell everyone how to live and what to believe. :P

But atheism is a religion. It is the belief that there is no God. And since it is a belief with no evidence, it is no less a religion than any other.

To me a religion is more than just a believe in a god or not. It involves rituals and rules, codes and ceremonies as well as some sotrt of "government" system. Atheism as far as I know is none of that, so I don't consider a religion. Otherwise we could call anything we believe in a religion.

I believes that Times New Roman sucks and prefer to use Verdena on my websites. Is that a religion now? I think not.

Atheism is th belief that there is no god.

Agnosticism is the acknowledgment that there may or may not be a supreme being of one form or another.

Either one I think would be better than a religous nut as president or one that believes for the sake of manipulating people to give them power.

I think a couple hundred brain cells died while reading that...

I like how towards the end, Katie Couric pretty much told Palin to cut the BS and answer her question.

Rihhggtt because an Athiest would probably not feel sorry for, or feel better than, the masses of religious types, right?

An Agnostic would work better imo.

In the name of Jesus, Palin/Witchcraft

Keeping in line with your observations from your time as a Texan, I was wondering about six degrees of separation between Sara and Tonya Harding.

I won't lie the woman scares me to death... I've always admired McCain but she's bad news. He shoulda nominated Mitt Romney or Tim Pawlenty.

But Romney or Pawlenty wouldnt have energized the party, it woulda just been "yawn" well thats a shocker.

Mitt Romney is disqualified based merely on the fact that his father George destroyed AMC and Studebaker by blocking the merge.

I'd rather have a "yawn" than a complete psychopath that can't do interviews and regurgitates whatever talking points McCain gives her. Picking Sarah Palin for VP was the worst political move McCain could have made.

He just did it so that he could get some of the women voters. It is just part of the game he is playing. We all know he wouldnt stand a chance any other way. 8 years of this crap is long enough.

Did you see the meet and greet Palin did with the world leaders? Her response to their comments about her attractiveness was giggling. I would hope that someone who is potentially, just moments away from being a world leader could find a way to take control of a conversation and refocus on more meaningful topics.

According to several of my Republican friends she is "ready to lead the nation"

Wow...I can't beleive they actually picked a VP choice this weak.

Mitt had some decent economic expereince and was very well liked in Michigan, where his family is from.

My son Joel says Romney would have been the best Republican choice...I think he may be right.

And Palin makes you think that.... how exactly?

He was refering to being far more moderate in I.Q.

It would be interesting to see what would really happen if an Athiest really ran for office in this country.

The whole God, Guns and Gays agenda has kept many a republican in office.
