We have come to an agreement on how to handle political threads on C&G. For at least this political season, such threads will be allowed with the following caveats.

1. Any thread will have to maintain the same level of civility with or without political discussion.

2. No campaigning - period.

3. Any overt nastiness will lead to the topic being locked or deleted.

4. Any thread that has politics as its topic must only be posted in the lounge.

5. We reserve the right to re-invoke Rule #2 if things get out of hand.

6. All political threads must be clearly indentified as such in the title or subtitle.

7. Comment on the candidates, issues, or parties - not the voters (members).

in other words...don't hate the player, hate the game.

seriously though, it's pretty bad when your peers try to deny you your own free speech and look down upon you just because your view differs from thiers. One has every right to disagree, but you should respect everyone else's view, even if it's contrary to yours. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. That's what makes America, America.

i can rant because I've had to deal with this all week. apperantly, I hold a different opinion than those around me.

Just curious: what ever happened to people being

warned & then "banned" instead of a thread being

locked? I remember Fly banning me from the

forum for a week or two on multiple occasions

when the fight about the (then hypothetical) 5th g.

Camaro got out of hand.

The threads stayed open, but I was not allowed to

post on C&G at ALL for the duration of my "ban".

I just poked around on your wesbsite.... some nice

drawings, looks like most are based on photographs?

The BMW Z8 & 1950s 507 is quite cool. 8)

Actually C and G has become quite civil...but not needing this is probably due to the election being over and everyone being both bummed about GM and excited about the new Camaro...

True....

...and it would be nice if we could get some debate between the good minds at C and G in that section.

Sadly, people have seemed to give up interest after the election.

I know of several people I'd like to hear from, both republican and democrat...

Hopefully she is just going to retire to take care of her family...

Things could get very interesting in 2012.

One of the boys in my son's scout troup made Eagle, and the kid got a personal letter from Sarah Palin.

I would say that her plans are to run in 2012...which may ahve been the Republican plan all along.

Our Scout Master, Jim Ramey (troup 155) is perhaps one of the best men I've ever known...and also one of the most devotedly Republican.

After knowing him though, I appreciate keeping C and G free from a lot of political talk.

Nothing spoils a campfire under a star filled sky like a rant about the Clinton presidency.

Kid was treated like a hero when he got that letter from Sarah.
