Not blasphemy if your buying it to drag race...and not everyone loves stick shift, although I do...

Besides I'd rather have a 1le and have the good suspension bits under it.

im confused as to how he knows it can turn 12.9s when it has supposedly "never had the tires spun or never seen redline. never raced etc."

i would also like to call shenanigans on it outgunning an '07 corvette... even if it is 288 pounds lighter than a stock Z28 as he claims... because you have a 400 horsepower car weighing 3179 lbs... or 7.9 lbs/hp and a 310 horsepower car weighing a claimed 3145ish pounds... or 10.2 lbs/hp... not to mention the superiority of the suspension of the 'vette... this man either knows something we dont... or is an idiot

yeah i like the 1LE's a little more too ( thats the 3rd gen road racer right?) if so i saw one on barret jackson go for 50 a few years ago... the guy that bought it just brought it home, red on red. had all the paper work tags and everything... was just over the break in miles.

1SC is just the lowest form of trim that could be ordered - not a special edition or package.

Some of his claims are extremely doubtful, especially the weight claim as other cars ordered in a similar fashion would weigh close to the same. I would bet that most of the weight savings he claims assumes the larger wheels and tires that came on the SS, WS6, and Firehawk cars.

A stripper Firebird Formula likely could make the same claims

Still, an interesting car in perfect condition.

EDIT: I have personally witnessed many, many, stock '02 Firehawks that ran 12.9s or better in the quarter mile. So that claim is nothing special, the late f-cars had amazing performance. In fact, GM's own test drivers had them out-performing the Vettes of the day.

I'm not much for a stick (after having to drive a truck for a few hundred thousand miles with one) but I TOTALLY WAS THINKING THE SAME THING HERE.... SHENANIGANS!!!!
