As I noted, there has been an addition made to our driveway. I've posted about this car in particular a while back, while my friend was trying to sell it. Long story short, he no longer has a place to keep it. We have a big yard with lots of room... What's one more? Thus, it's technically not ours. Since he was unsuccessful in selling it, he sort of wants to fix it up and get it back on the road. It runs about as well as the Cutlass, perhaps a bit better, but isn't in nearly as good of condition. If we can get it to pass inspection (it atleast needs brakes), this might help my situation, effectively giving me another car to drive around in. This is a big "IF", however.

The ever lovely Ford LTD II.

There is a brown mone of those around here. I saw it last summer. That one though was in nearly perfect condition.

"If this Ford's a rockin', it's probably the rear shocks."

Seriously, though, it's not terrible. Two bumpers, some rust encapsulator, and a paint job and it'll look good as new. Like the Cutlass, it'll need quite a bit of TLC to keep running smoothly, though.

Think of it as a movie car... :) IIRC, there was a TV show years ago with Michael Landon as an angel and a bearded guy and they drove around in a silver '77-79 LTD II 4dr.

So the Cutlass sucks and THIS is your alternative?! Spend $30 on a carburetor kit for the Cutlass and quit whining. Your dignity will thank you later.

Look at those fuzzy dice! :rotflmao:

Well... at least the dice look new :smilewide:

I do hope the LTD serves you well until you find a better set of wheels, though. :)

Yep.

Hey, BV, when I took some copper wire to Ace Iron and Metal the price of Scrap Hulks (junk cars) was $235 a ton!

Your rich and you just don't know it yet.

Methinks the scrap yard is your friend for this Fine Feathered Ford...

Did you read the post at all, by any chance? I think you didn't. :P

The rear bumper, is it just rusting off the car at the attachments, or was it hit? It appears to be bent along the bottom left side.

I think it might have been hit. If you look at the trunklid, it is askew.

Your memory serves you well.

The TV show was "Highway To Heaven".

The bearded guy also had a role in "Little House On The Prairie", me thinks. Victor French is that guy's name.
