I was driving a Tahoe LTZ today and it made me think of something.. I've only been driving for about two years, never been a porter or anything like that, and I've driven a vehicle from every GM brand except Saab, Hummer, and GMC.

Buick:

'07 Rendezvous

Cadillac:

two '06 CTS's

(Ridden in a new CTS and multiple SRXs)

Chevrolet:

'07 Tahoe LTZ

'06 Cobalt SS/SC (own)

'01 Camaro Z28

'98 Camaro (owned)

'9x S10

'90 Cavalier

Pontiac:

'05 Grand Prix

'99 Grand Am

Saturn:

My grandma's 199x ugly, slow gold sedan (I need to test some new Saturns..)

At some time or another in the near future I'd like to drive a C5 or C6*, G6 GT coupe, Sky*, Vue (Redline*), 9-3*, and an H3*.

Oh, and * means probably not going to happen.

Good topic. Perfect for wasting time this icy afternoon. :)

Chevy

C/K1500 Silverado (my daily driver when I first got my license)

Cobalt LS (rental on my honeymoon)

Impala LTZ (test drive)

Cadillac

'06 STS (my dad's)

Pontiac

G6 Base (test drive... unexciting test drive... I wanted to push a V6 and they gave me the SV)

Vibe (a friend's... felt like a Toyota but thankfully looked much better inside)

Bonneville SLE (test drive... I wanted this car but someone got it by now :( )

Saturn, GMC, Buick, Oldsmobile, Saab, Suzuki, Isuzu

None, actually

"Modern" models only included, as I've driven too many to list older models.

Buick - Every model made. Parents have been buying from dealer for over 20 years. I drive all new income cars on my own when ever I want.

Cadillac - CTS (rental car from Cadillac Dealer), SRX, DTS (rental car from Cadillac Dealer), STS (test drove at Chevy dealer), DeVille (rental car from Cadillac Dealer)

Chevrolet - Every model made. The local Chevy dealer let's me drive any car I want on my own at any time on my own.

GMC - See Buick. Including both diesel and gas version of the trucks.

Hummer - H2 (used one at Buick Dealer mentioned above)

Oldsmobile (the most important brand) - All modern versions. Everyone of them where the best GM made from the given platforms at the time.

Pontiac - See Buick, though I never did drive the GTO (no real interest), or the Solstice (never had one for me to drive when I had the time to drive it)

Saab - 9-2 (Saabaru - not impressed. Too noisy and cheap looking)

Saturn - Astra, Ion, Aura

At the dealership, I've driven more cars than you can imagine. Basically the whole Chevy lineup and the whole Cadillac lineup except the XLR. Drove an SSR even.

From Pontiac, I've driven:

04 GTO

A lot of used ones at the dealership

Buick: Again, lots of used ones at the dealership, don't think I've driven one otherwise

Saturn: Same

GMC: Same

Hummer: none

Saab: none

Olds: 01 Alero, LSS, 98 Silhoutte

Never driven a Saturn, GMC, or Hummer. Avis has been my source of GMs to drive over the last 13 years or so... my first GM rental car was a '95 Ciera (the only Olds I've ever driven).

From Avis--

Buick: '98 Century

Cadillac: several '98-02 DeVilles/DTSes. Drove an '04 CTS and STS at a ride and drive event.

Chevy: a couple '02 Cavaliers, a few late '90s Malibus, an '05 Monte Carlo, 2 '04 Impalas, 1 '05 Impala

Pontiac: a dozen or so '02-04 Grand Ams, 2 '05 GPs

Olds: '95 Ciera

Non-Avis GM's I've driven (cars of friends and family, years ago):

'68 Camaro SS 396, '76 Electra coupe, '77 Caprice, '84 Caprice, '85 S10, '87 Pontiac 6000,'87 Camaro IROC-Z, '87 Grand National, '89 Chevy Corsica, '92 Blazer, '93 Bonneville, '92 Saab 900 Turbo, '91 Park Avenue

'88 Buick Regal

'04 GMC Sierra (5.3)

'99 Saturn SC

'94 Pontiac Sunbird

'03 Pontiac Grand Prix

'04~ Chevy Impala

'96 Chevy Cavalier

'92 Pontiac Firebird/Trans Am (V6)

'03 GMC Sierra (diesel)

Plenty more but those are the first ones to come to mind. Most I have driven on several occasions, but a couple were just once. The list does not include any test drives. The Impala and Grand Prix were rentals.

I've driven more GM vehicles than any other make combined. :o

I've owned and driven at least five of every modern, mainstream American GM Brand except for GMC.

(Saturn does NOT count, except for the SKY they're all useless)

Chevrolet/Chevrolet truck

Pontiac

Buick

Oldsmobile

Cadillac

I've driven a few SAABs, owned one I got for free but never got the s#itbox running.

Only ever drove one Opel, a 2001 model year Astra 4dr hatch that I had in Slovakia

as a rental car, FANTASTIC car (for a FWD econobox) by the way. Great trans/clutch

good power from the usual 1.6 liter four banger and a very nice interior for the $.

Holden, never even sat in one, '04/'05 GTO excluded... :P

Vauxhall: nothing. Never even sat inside one.

I've yet to own some of the COOLEST Brands from GM that most of you will not even

think of... LaSalle, Okland, McLaughlin Buick and some of the fringe stuff like REO.

Posted

REO was never part of GM, 68.

Just for fun, I'll list all Pontiacs I can recall driving:

'59 Star Chief 4-dr sedan, 389

'61 Ventura Vista 4-dr hardtop, 389

'64 Tempest 2-dr sedan, 215

'64 GP Sport Coupe, 389

'65 Catalina 2-dr sedan, 389

'65 Catalina 4-dr sedan, 389

'65 Bonneville 2-dr hardtop, 389

'65 Bonneville 4-dr hardtop, 389

'65 GP 2-dr hardtop, 389

'68 Catalina 4-dr sedan, 400

'68 Firebird 2-dr hardtop, 400

'68 GTO 2-dr hardtop, 400

'69 Bonneville 4-dr hardtop, 428

'70 GTO 2-dr hardtop, 400

'71 GTO 2-dr hardtop, 400

'77 Catalina Safari, 301

'93 Grand Am

'03 GP

'04 GP

I'm sure there's a few more vintage ones.

Otherwise, have driven multiple Cadillacs, Oldsmobiles, Chevrolets, Buicks & GMCs and 1 Saturn. No other GM brands, past or present.

Buick: a lot of boring grandma mobiles, but the nicest two would be a 07 Lucerne CXS and an Enclave recently.

Saab: a early 2000s 9-3 and a 9-7x...I would buy a 9-7 in a second if I were in the market for that kind of SUV.

Saturn: a bunch of econoboxes, but I have test driven a Aura XR and XE3.5 as well as an OUTLOOK when my mom was looking for something to replace her Trailblazer.

Pontiac: most all of the FWDs, but I did get to drive an 05 GTO for a day, took a Solstice GXP for a test drive at the local dealer, and my uncle owns a 70 Firebird that I have driven countless times.

Hummer: my cousin owns an H2. I would buy one if I got a good deal.

GMC: A few Yukons, test drove an Acadia, and quite a few Sierras over the years, including an 07 Sierra crew cab that my uncle owns, nice truck.

Cadillac: Good family friend has owned every generation Escalade, in fact they have two 07s right now, black and silver, ridiculous. Drove a 05 CTS, almost let the dealer let me take a used CTSV they had for a test drive, but he new I wasn't serious so I never got to. My grandpa has an STS AWD as well. Beautiful car if you ask me.

Cheverolet: Way too many to even talk about, countless different Silvies, and own an Impala and Suburban. Highlight would have to be the 06 Corvette I got to drive in a parade, and then took for a drive afterward.

I have all of the current GM Brands covered. Its easy to do when you grow up in a mainly GM community and GM family. Its just easy to get GMs serviced in ND. There is a dealer anywhere you go, so I get a chance to see a lot of GM vehicles.
