Uh oh, Fly, we may have spoken prematurely... if you look at the display where the temps are shown, it is not backlit green, but more of a whitish color.  Maybe the buttons will be illuminated to match?  They are not lit in these pictures.

Yeah, I've noticed that even on last-gen LS400s. Godawful and inexcusable, IMO. Say what you will about the chintzy 2000 Monte Carlo or goofy Grand Am interiors, at least the colors matched.

What I used to hate is a little thing like that--for example, the last gen malibu interior has white lighting for EVERYTHING, but the clock/station display on the radio, a bright blue.

Or my fav, the slightly different shades in colors between the gauge colors (bluish/green) and the button colors (blue) in Buicks.

What seems very nicely done is the Lucerne--it seems as though the gauges have been given a VERY nice deep bluish/turquoise look--and that all the buttons are illuminated exactly the same as well as radio and HVAC displays. It's a little attention to detail like that, that to me conveys a harmony within the interior of the car.

I'm going to get pelted for saying this, but it is the truth and nothing less: the current CTS falls short of the current CAMRY in terms of materials quality. The current CTS has all kinds of hard, brittle cheap and shiny plastic, check those sunroof controls, check those hard door panels, check the center stack's hard brittle plastic. However, the CTS is the car I'd want to be seen in, there's no contest in that department.

Well, from what we have read here, the next gen CTS interior is going to be mindblowing. I can't wait! :)

So, what are we looking at for the debut of this Camry? Early Spring maybe?

Um, it's suppose to debut in the Detroit auto show, it's going to come around April, or May, because they still have their '06 models and they can't overlap right away. Also new from Toyota at Detroit, will be the FJ-Cruiser, Tundra.

I'm not 100% sure about this, but the Solstice's colors don't match. Again, I remember seeing one pic with it lit up and some things were red while some were blue. I think it was the corporate radio where only the buttoms lit up red while the display was blue. IDK... Its been a while since I seen it. For all I know it could be like that in rebadges like the Montana and Torrent. Again, IDK.

I don't like it either, btw. I also don't like it when a Pontiac doesn't have red backlighting... like the GTO.

BV... funny you should mention that, I really was surprised when my friend came home with his new 2005 Red GTO and I asked him to turn on the lights--and saw white gauges!! Was VERY surprised. Then again, it's a Holden. Still thought they would have put it back to red.
