I was watching Top Gear, and noticed this:

Is that a white Sunfire convertible I'm seeing? Since when were Sunfires sold in Switzerland?

Hmm, Interesting. What episode of Top Gear was this, so I can search Youtube to see if there is any vids up. Since they don't broadcast it in the US for it is British. Really a good show.

All sorts of cars you wouldn't expect in Europe.

I saw an old Mustang LX convertible. I saw Suburbans. I saw a Chevy Alero. Lots of Dodge Caravans of all vintages. Cavaliers, a 1977 Eldorado.... they're all there.

Well, there is this magic thing called a ship that can carry huge loads of cars over the ocean.

Thanks, Captain Obvious...

Read the OP... I was asking if it was ever sold there. I'm not questioning why it's there.

Not that I'm aware of...I do know the Alero was sold as a Chevy Alero in some markets. On my trips across the pond, I've seen a lot of US cars that are/have been sold in the Europe--plenty of Grand Cherokees (almost always in dark blue like mine), Cherokees, Explorers, Neons, 300s, Sebring convertibles, Voyagers, and less common models like Tahoes, Trailblazers, Chrysler Saratogas ('90s Dodge Spirit variation) and Chrysler GS (early '90s Dodge Daytonas).. I've seen a number of cars that had to be personal imports, like the red '87 Mustang GT I saw in Bath, England; several Lincoln Town Cars and Navigators in London, and a sweet dark blue '90s Buick Roadmaster I saw in Positano, Italy (local mafioso?).

Rumor is there is a 2007 Purple Haze Pontiac Grand Prix GXP running around the streets of Switzerland and Germany! :smilewide:

I thought the curse got the FWD POS and that you were replacing it with Opel Insignia 3.6 AWD performance model.

The 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP will remain in my fleet as long as the God sees fit, along with my 1969 Pontiac Custom-S. Here is the list of possible cars I will get in 2010, they are in order of my desire of ownership.

1. 2010 Cadillac CTS, diesel if I am still in Europe then.

2. 2010 Saab 9 3 Aero SportCombi.

3. 2010 Opel Insignia or 2010 Saturn Aura if I am in the States.
