Despite all the technology in the new cars (R8 and Van V8), the new LS series V8 just keeps proving to be a sweet engine. Before you get your hopes up too much, keep in mind this is a fairly base Corvette going up against cars the start at $70k more in price. Also remember that the F430 and the Vette are 3 to 4 years old. The list of excuses is long and goes on and on :AH-HA_wink: Funny thing is Vette may have fared better if not for the optional suspension

Vette - All Power all the time

V8 Vantage - Better battle for the XLR

F430 - Lawdy that's expensive

R8 - Who forgot the soul?

The 'vette being compared to these other cars says a lot. :) Especially when it's not even the z06.

I just sold (about 3 weeks ago) my modded 2001 Z06 C5 and bought a 2008 C6 Z51 w/npp and hot dam this car is awesome. The power, the advances in NVH and interior are impressive. The precision in the steering also is a nice surprise. (for me)

Nice evolution on the Corvette and even if the Z51 C6 coupe didn't win the comparision outright....(although its engine was selected as the best) I have to say this was heady competition.

Very impressive sports car.

My first black car too..

Like I told my wife while we were dating.(joking). I like it a little dirty!

Means its being used!
