Well, first off, welcome to the board rocktiger9. You can find information on the Camaro's release in the Chevrolet Cars section here at C&G. The awesome 5th generation Camaro even has its own dedicated section.

Production ramps up late next year for the Camaro, so a very early '09 release date is likely.

Wow - two very different vehicles. I'd wait for the Camaro, personally - the Colorado could be a decent truck, but if you are just wanting a vehicle you'll love, I'd think the Camaro would be more likely to be a "home run" in the "car to love" category. :)

Don't forget also, if you are not prepared to pay over sticker for the Camaro, you probably won't be able to buy one for the 1st year if the Mustang was any gage. I'll never pay over sticker for a car, especially one that will be built at 100,000 units a year, so I won't see a Camaro until at least 2010. And I might as well wait for the convertible, what I really want, so 2011.

Some more stuff to chew on.

You can always wait for the upcoming Pontiac G8 ST, which will have the best of both worlds... a box, and a platform shared with the Camaro.

Shhh!

Be quiet until I get mine. :AH-HA_wink:

Just a day or so ago the Camaro was delayed till Feb 09 for production due to plant delays. I have not confirmed this but I have heard this from two diffrent sources.

They said the pilot cars and engineering cars would be out sooner but the cars for the public will be delayed a few weeks than we first expected. Not really a big deal.

I too am waiting on the G8 ST as it would suit my needs better and have a much better interior than the Colorado.

At this point my list is Camaro, Colorado [if they fix the interior], G8 ST or Saturn Sky. Once all are available I will choose one based on what I like and the cost of gas may also play a part in my choice by then. If I get a Camaro or Sky I would keep my present Sonoma as even at 11 Years old it is still in great shape and runs great. To be honest I still like it better than any Colorado at this point. I also would drive it in the winter.

Anyways Happy holidays and "Welcome to Chears And Gears!"

It depends on your needs. Haulin' stuff or HAULIN' ASS!!But regardless you will have to wait until 09 for a Camaro, and you will have to wait for a Colorado/Canyon with a V8...until who knows when now!
