Anyone out there know what the SSPS light is supposed to be indicating about? It keeps coming on. My service advisor can't seem to overcome his rectal/cranial inversion long enough to give me a straight answer.

For the record, I have a 2004 Chevrolet Optra LS (sold only in Canada), with 85000 kms on it.

While I'm not sure on that...the lights coming on in the 04s seen to be commonplace. (not good)

I'm hearing a lot of issues with these cars lately...makes me wonder.

Not looking good for the Optra, tha's for sure... :(

I finally talked toa service advisor that could find his a$$ without using two hands and a flashlight and he told me that the SSPS light indicates a problem with the Speed Sensitive Power Steering. He said it more thatn likely has to do with a faulty wheel position sensor and that it is still covered under my GMPP warranty.

Cheers
