Since the original topic of this thread was "Pariahs of our college campusas", I thought I'd change the current political discussion to one that fits the thread.

It seems that the University of Delaware has instituted a new "manditory" program (indoctrination) that all students must believe that "All whites are racists". It makes for interesting reading and shows that the "far left-wing" professors and educators in our schools are out of touch with reality and the fact that we should have freedom of thought and of speech in this country.

While I agree with most of the posters here about both political parties failing the people, our universities seem to be breeding grounds for a "big brother" mentality, and no tolerance for the freedoms given to everyone in our constitution.

I read the article and I am going to have dinner with my Delaware State Senator before I fly back to South America, I sent the article ahead so my State Senator can read it too. I'll let you know if anything happens.

That article made me laugh, thanks for that, Rich. Only whites are racists? That's truly funny. The most racist people I have ever met are Asians, frankly. In fact, there was a big dust up a few months ago here in Ontario when a Asian student working for the Ontario government sent an email about a black job applicant to a fellow co-worker that referred to the applicant as a 'ghetto dude.' Naturally, the liberal media went crazy and went so far as demanding the government apologize. Why? The Asian female who made the remarks in her email was only a summer student, not even a full time employee. My partner plays volleyball at the local YMCA and the games usually end up with the Asians on one side and the South Americans on the other. As a true testimony to the success of multi-culturalism, both sides hurl racial slurs at each other. I had to explain to my partner (as his English was not that great until recently) that certain words were not 'allowed.'

Look, by nature, we are all racists. That's a fact. As arguably the most successful 'race' in history, the 'white' Europeans have a lot to be proud of - and ashamed. Our culture seems to be that of tearing down #1, and since 'Europeans' are #1, that includes us. We in the West are at a turning point in history. Fifty years from now, what will historians look back and say about the early 21st Century? The West is under assault like at no point in the past several hundred years. Whereas it was competetion between Western nations that made the West the leader that it became, it is the moral ambiguity coming from within that shall be our undoing.

We need to stop apologizing for the last 200 years and start paying attention to the next 200.

"Ghetto dude" is now somehow a racial slur?!?!?

Give me a break... That terminology could be applied to any race.

I agree that we (the west) are basically destroying ourselves. And the people know it, they just don't seem to care.

My Delaware State Senator replied via e-mail on what is going on at the University of Delaware"

"I heard Rick Jensen talking about this program on the radio as well. It looks like the new President of UD has egg on his face! I'll follow up and let you know what I hear. This program sounds misguided, to say the least."

I'll see my senator this week-end, so I should know more then, we are having dinner. I clean up rather nice when I go out, at least so I've been told. :AH-HA_wink:

I just read this morning that the University of Delaware has cancelled the program.

The real shame is that a program like this could have been initiated in the first place. Educators are supposed to teach young people to think for themselves. Not indoctrinate them in hatred of other people or themselves, because of their skin color or economic status. What comes next, do we hate people because they belong to a religion or because they were born in the United States? If we leave it up to the "so called professors" in our Universities, we will all hate each other and true freedom will cease to exist.

End of rant!

Looks like the NCAA had to take the matter into their own hands and make whitey play the 'other school'.

By David Coulson, FCS Executive Director

Newark, DE (Sports Network) - The history-making first meeting between Delaware and Delaware State will go down in the books as a 44-7 Blue Hen win in the first round of the NCAA Division I Football Championships.

But it should also be remembered as the birth of a rivalry.

Playing before 19,765 fans at Delaware Stadium - the third highest attended first-round playoff game in FCS history - and an ESPN national television audience, what the game may have lacked in competitiveness, it made up for it in essence.

What the much-maligned Delaware administration was unable to do since Delaware State began a football program in 1924, the NCAA tournament selection committee did in pairing the teams in the first round of the playoffs.

Since the brackets were announced on Sunday afternoon, the game has been the talk of this tiny state and the ambiance around Delaware Stadium before the game was buzzing in excitement.

"I told the team to take 30 seconds and just absorb the whole atmosphere," Delaware coach K.C. Keeler said. "I took my moment in the tunnel before we came out on the field. It was absolutely electric."

This sort of thing needs to be eliminated with extreme prejudice wherever its ugly face is shown.
