Whenever my moms extended family gets together it looks like we opened up a GM dealer outside of wherever we are hanging out.

Between my aunts and uncles and cousins we have every GM brand covered except for Saab. Its a lot of fun. Only non GM vehicles I can think of are 2 of my uncles an 06 Special Edition PT Cruiser. He loves PTs for some reason. The one he owns now is turbo'd and has a stick, so it's someone fun. He also has an 06 300C. Other than that its all GM

Sadly of my three grandparents, eight aunts and uncles, and nineteen cousins, there are only two domestics: my aunt's '95 Safari, which she rarely drives, and my cousin's red '04 Mustang V6.

My mom's side is exclusively Asian (Toyota, Honda, Lexus, Mazda, Infiniti, Acura), while my dad's side was primarily European (Volvo, Mercedes, BMW, VW), but increasingly Asian (Honda, Lexus, Infiniti).

Hopefully I'll be the third, with an '08 ASTRA XR 5-door.

Sister #1: Grand Caravan (work) & Silverado Ex Cab, ex husband has Saab convertible

Sister #2 Grand Caravan & ancient Ranger (current husband)

Mother: Grand Caravan (I think - haven't talked to her in 5 years)

Me:

1978 Cadillac Coupe DeVille

1977 Cadillac Coupe DeVille

1971 Cadillac Sedan DeVille

1967 Cadillac Eldorado

Dad:

2000 Chevrolet Silverado LS

1937 Packard Super Eight touring sedan (not GM but definitely American and cooler than anybody else's car!)

The Girl:

2005 Pontiac G6

Everybody else pussied out in one way or another. One grandmother does not drive anymore and got rid of her car, a 2004 Buick LeSabre Custom. Another grandmother went out and bought a Camry after fifty years of American car ownership. My mother just replaced her '99 Bonneville SE with a 2007 Altima after twenty five years of American car ownership. Looks like me and dad are the only hope, except for like one uncle who has a ten year-old Tahoe.

Me: 1995 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham

Dad: 1992 Buick Roadmaster Limited, 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham

Mom: 2004 Chevy Suburban 1500 LS 2wd (which, at the moment, has had its replacement chosen as a new Buick Enclave...but we'll see if that actually happens before years)

Brother: 1986 Buick Regal Limited

Then...

Grandfather: 2003 Buick Rendezvous (bought from his neighbor this year, after wanting one for years)

Grandmother: 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue

Otherwise, no other immediate family drives a GM. My father's brother has a Chrysler PT Cruiser and a Suzuki Vitara, his sister has a Jeep Wrangler, and then on my mother's side, both of her brothers are HUGE Ford people (one used to be a Ford service tech, and the other just a Ford guy), with one having an Explorer and a Ranger, and the other with a Focus and F-150.

No one in my immediate family doesn't own GM.

No one in my girlfriend's immediate or extended family owns anything but GM or Ford.

None of my close friends owns anything but a domestic at the moment (except one who has an '89 Accord).

No one in their extended families (except my friend with the Honda) owns anything but domestic as far as I know.

Heck, I even extended family on my mother's side who still live in Taiwan and they own a Buick Excelle.

What is this Toyota that you folks speak of?

Mercedes is the most common brand among my siblings and my parents. Only I have a GM vehicle, my Silverado, and that may be going away soon.
