There's a movie I saw years ago that I just remembered again after recently having bought Demolition Man, but I have no idea what the name of it is. I'm pretty sure it came out in the 90s sometime, and it's in the vein of Demolition Man where a guy gets sent into the future to track somebody down. I think the movie takes place in a future New York (I remember one fight scene takes place in a futuristic highrise building that dwarfs the Empire State Building). The protagonist in the movie used to be a racing driver before he is sent into the future, and he meets up with his girlfriend from the past. It's not Demolition Man and I'm pretty sure it's not Fifth Element...does anyone have an idea what it could be?

FreeJack?

Thanks 68, I think it is Freejack! I read the description at Wikipedia and it sounds a lot like what I'm thinking of.

I just watched a clip of it on YouTube...it's not nearly as good as I remember it. The production and acting seems pretty cheesy.
