Prior to the Cutty, my father owned a wide variety of domestics, from Fords to MOPARs, and a few other GMs. The Bonneville, however, was his first Pontiac and one day, he'll get a Cadillac as a present. ;)

Personally I have owned

1986 Cutty Ciera international 3800. First car and loved it. Third person to get it in my family and would have kept driving it for quite a while had it not been totalled while parked in the city.

1996 accord dx - Hated this car. Couldn't afford a replacment for the cutty so my dad gave me his station car under the provision that I drop him off at the station.

2001 Alero GLS - My baby. Great car, good power great handling and looked sharp. Needed a little fixing up from hard ware, I bought it with 20k miles and drove it to 80k of hard NYC area miles. Decided to trade it in instead of putting a few grand into maitanance.

2006 Malibu SS - First New car I've bought. Not bad but things considered I think I would have like to keep the alero looking back on it.

For the rest of my family, not including the cutty and the accord which were both passed around-

1966 Impala - Dad's first car, brand new for 2400

1967 Mustang GT500- Dad's second car, loaned it to little bro who totalled it.

1969 Camaro SS- Dad's third car which engine siezed on after neighbor tinkered to much with it.

1970 Bonneville

1972 Volvo sedan - don't know the model but it was a huge lemon

1975 Valiant - Another big lemon - killed my folks on mopar products.

1979 Citation - Car ran for 400k miles with 5 different people in my family

1981 Citation

1986 Olds 98 Regency - Mom's favorite car ever. Stolen and chopped 8 months after purchase.

1987 Olds Delta 88 - 395k mile car

1989 Olds Regency 98

1994 Olds Regency Elite 2 - Saved my mom's life in a 60 mph head on crash.

2000 Olds Intrigue GLS - Most solid reliable car ever owned. oil shanges included 100k of milage only had 1800 in cost. Sold to roomate who loves it still.

2002 Alero GL I4 - My big bro's first new car purchase.

2006 Ford mustang v6 - brothers new car

2006 Saturn vue FWD v6

2007 Aura XR- Mom's first car that's not an Olds since 1986.

This means that my immediate family have had

Chevys - 5

Fords - 2

Pontiac - 1

Foreign cars - 2

Mopars - 1

Oldsmobiles - 8

Saturns - 2

Next cars up for my family will be

2009/10 Camaro 6.2 for my brother

EP2 Aura Desiel for my folks

and as soon as there is some sort or decent lease, not great just decent, a new 08 3.6 DI CTS for me. Hopefully by this coming March

Wasn't so bad as all that: real base trim 4-dr yet had the Super Six 2bbl, 1-tone (bronze), painted roof, no vinyl bodyside moldings or extra trim, a real GI type, esp after I put fat blackwalls & the bullethole 'cop caps' on it. Just after I got it, I pulled up at my regular junkyard and that car cleared the place out. Took about 5 minutes before the guys crept out- they thought it was an IRS bust.

Dad picked it up: 8 years old & only 8K on the odo - it was brand new. After x-years passed he gave it to me: I only had it titled in my name for about 6 months before I replaced it with my next daily driver:

Well, I've only owned 2 cars, so here's my family's history:

198? Chevrolet Chevette - my parents still say they should've never gotten rid of this car.

1987 Pontiac 6000 - this is the worst car my family has ever owned.

199? Plymouth Voyager - this was a great little van, we had some trouble with it in the end though.

1995 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight - became my first car, but by the time I got it (2003), it had developed a myriad of problems.

1996 GMC Savanna - Not nearly as reliable as the Plymouth van.

1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue - The "newest" car in our house. It has been poorly taken care of and has some minor electrical glitches. Other than that its seems to be fine.

2001 Dodge Intrepid - My current car...it has some minor electrical glitches that only seem to crop up when its really cold and the transmission isn't in the best shape, otherwise its reasonably solid.

2002 Pontiac Bonneville - The thing is apparently bulletproof.

2003 Ford Taurus - Apart from the transmission trouble (it was on its third) it was an alright car before it got wrecked.

2003 Pontiac Vibe

2005 Chevrolet Equinox

1987 Acura Integra LS - fun!

1991 Acura Integra GS - not quite as much fun

1993 Nissan Pickup - basic but reliable

1994 Honda Prelude Si - great handling for FWD and a great everday beater

2001 Lexus IS300 - needs another 50 hp but smooth I6

2001 Oldsmobile Aurora 4.0 - modern American luxury, but an oil leaker

2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab LS - big, bulky beast sits in the garage

Yes, they were mine.

I didn't buy any of them though. All but one were free, and the one that wasn't I took as a part trade.

I still haven't ever laid down cash for a FWD, and I never intend to.

You can see them here: http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...?showtopic=6734

And some of the others on my list in these threads: http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...5&hl=Camino

I've owned hundreds of cars. Maybe 250+ including trucks. The most I ever had at one time was 11 cars and two trucks. NOT including beaters. LOL

I've had a 1966 Cutlass to a 1963 Dodge 330. Most of my stuff was pre-1980. Only a few imports total, I've never been an import fan.

Lots of cool cars in the lists though, good readin!

them and parted them out & shipped them to the junkjyard for $50...

Ever since you and SP met me I've been a bad influence.

I remmebr when you were a nice, functioning member of society who

drove a respectable FWD V6 powered Buick that averaged 26 MPG.

Now look at you, :metal: brings a tear to my eye. Now the next step is

to get SP out of that FWD Mopar and into a DONK Caprice!

No, not all in a row - I just listed cars as I recalled them.

All of them were beaters, but reliable beaters. Olds was always my knee-jerk choice when I needed a cheap car in a hurry.

For me it's Buick. Reliable, low cost (purchase, repairs, maintenance, etc), and most importantly, they usually came from old people who took great care of them. None of our Buicks have ever let us down. Yeah, they float like a boat, but when cruising down I-5 at 80+mph, the cops ignore it and I feel like I'm sitting in my living room relaxing.
