Can anybody tell me what is planned for Lordstown Assembly when the Cobalt is done in 09. I have heard several rumors about GM extending production there, and I have also heard rumors of a new product. Can anybody fill me in?

I would assume the next generation of Cobalt and G5? (Delta II or whatever?).

Here is the deal.

GM is tring to cut deals with the UAW to keep this plant open. They will not say anything about the future plans till a deal is struck.

They would like to keep the plant open if cost can be retained but GM can move what ever platform to other plants if they do not get what they want.

Odds are good GM will get what they need and a future car will be anounced soon after.
