I was randomly at Walmart and I saw this. I really didn't want to buy anything... but... I couldn't pass it up. :P

Yep, a Camaro, by Jada. I must say, being able to feel all the lines and view it from infinite perspectives, I have so much more respect for the design.

I saw the real thing... but I also bought the dover white/hugger orange edition of this car.

And shortly after I bought it I dissasembled it, heated up an exacto knife and cut out the

rear 1/4 windows to give it the TRUE pillarless hardtop look. Once reassembled it looked

WAY better, esp. in profile where you can see through the grreenhouse.

Ooo...that thing is sexy! Where di d you find one in Wal Mart that didn't have massive, ugly ass wheels like everything else there?

Haha, I know... I was shocked. I had seen many 1:24 scale Jada Camaros in Wal Mart that were all modded like Jada likes to do. I was surprised to find a 1:18 scale Camaro; even more surprised to find one without any big speakers in the trunk or ugly, oversized wheels. :P Edited by blackviper8891

Car and Driver bought one of those and immediately chastised GM for the "poor fit and finish as well as the hard and poorly grained interior plastics." Further they went after the UAW for putting it together like " a child's toy"!

Cool model. I think I need one in Silver!

I also have this model... picked it up at Target a few months ago and it's still in the box! I was very tempted to buy the white one w/ hugger orange stripes, but the "pimped" look killed it for me!

Like the stock 22" rears are "normal" looking. :P

Lucky you. <_<

Haha. Got mine. Took half a year, but it sits on my computer desk now. It's silver. Shame that I can't find black (they probably don't make it anyway), but I'm happy with it anyway.

That's sweet... I don't have one of the 1:18th ones yet, but I have several of the 1:64th Hot Wheels and Greenlight ones (they make hts and convertibles) and the AMT and Revell 1:25th model kits.. neat stuff.

Moltar reminded me that I do also have a black and silver Hot Wheels (1:64) editions of the car, as well.

Durn it, this thread's been up forever and I just discovered it. Now I want to go to Target myself and see what they have. Edited by ocnblu

ocn, some FYI - my local Toys R Us has a special Camaro Concept one in yellow with black racing stripes (similar to Bumblebee in Transformers) in both 1/64th and 1/25th sclaes. My local Wal-Mart has the Jada 1/18th coupe in Silver and Maroon. My local TARGET has only had the Greenlight coupes in 1/64th scale and another brand in about the same size.

Time to bring back a dead thread...

I ment to buy one of these but never got around to it. I doubt they sell it at the store anymore, but what brand was it BV? I wonder if I could find one on ebay.
