Flobots - No Handlebars

Great song, not sure of the politics behind it but it grew

on me instantly when I heard it a couple months ago.

Funny thingn is I have not heard it in weeks but it was

stuck in my head this AM as I set it as my alarm clock

ono my cell phone... it was going on and on in my head

this (EARLY) morning untill finally while loading UPS

trucks I yelled over to my co-worker to my left:

"I can end the world in a HOLOCAUST!"

Thought I'd get a blank/worried stare but he just picked

it up and started singing it... :P

I've had ...And Justice For All playing a lot in my car lately.

But right now, I'm listening to Marvin Gaye's version of the Star Spangled Banner.

Sexiest. Anthem. Ever.

Well... my current playlist sucks. I'm currently trying to find something worth listening to. I suppose this happens when you put every song you have on shuffle. I'll list some of the notables as I search.

"I Hate Everything About You" - Three Days Grace

"Brainstew" - Green Day

"In Bloom" - Nirvana

"Hair of The Dog" - Nazareth

"So Cold" - Breaking Benjamin

"Apologize" - One Republic

"I Kissed A Girl" - Katy Perry

"Scars" Papa Roach

"Somebody Someone" - KoRn

"Closer" - Nine Inch Nails

"What I've Done" - Linkin Park

"Dream On" - Aerosmith

"Sexyback" - Justin Timberlake

"Here In Your Arms" - Hellogoodbye

Like a Rock - Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band

Yearning for old Chevy Truck commercials?

Did Crush 40 have music in Sonic Heros?

They've been in a bunch of the Sonic games. Their singer was in a hard-rock/hair-metal band called Hardline. Awesome melodic-rock.

Via youtube, I've been checking into Hank Williams III this past week. He does a pretty unusual show; 1 part country, 1 part 'hellbilly', 1 part punk/metal. Seems he started out in a punk band or 2 but wasn't getting anywhere, so he started billing himself under his given name. Thing of it is, he's a great songwriter and has an uncanny resemblence (physically & vocally) with Hank I (weird how the likeness/voice jumped right over Hank II to him), but with a truckload more attitude. This guy could really become iconic down the road- something about him reminds me of Johnny Cash; plowing his own road and giving the finger to Nashville. I don't usually care for country... but maybe the reason is most of it sucks.

"AstroCreep 2000" by White Zombie. (instant classic for those in the Nintendo Generation)
