Just in case Lutz was thinking of backing out of putting 600+ bhp in the next CTS-V( maybe with AWD).

If you think of it this may be in response to Lutz dissing BMW about their M6.

Sorry I ain't buying those figures. 721 ft/lbs of torque?! I really doubt they are punching that power outta a 5.0 V8 gas engine, maybe a high strung diesel but come on that is Duramax territory!

Who said it was a V8?

I'm not buying that the AWD system or automatic could handle 721ft/lbs.

The bi turbo benzes have auto boxes with over 700ft/lbs. I do agree with you that the AWD system can not handle that power.

Believable. Look at what companies VW owns. Bugatti? Lambo? Both have 4wd systems capable of handling alot of power, and engines making alot of power.

And don't forget who owns VW. Another sports car maker with big power and AWD

Nobody owns VW but VW. VAG consists of VW, Bugatti, Bentley, Audi, Lamborghini, Skoda, and SEAT.

If you're talking about Porsche, then that isn't the case. Porsche and VW just co-developed the Touareg/Cayenne platform.

I thought I read something about Porsche buying VW. Maybe they were just in talks to buy VW, I don't know.

Oh yeah, I think I remember hearing about some rumor that Porsche was thinking about buying VW...or at least they could if they wanted. But I seriously doubt that would ever happen.
