Got A 2.2L 1997 Cavalier, and I'm getting this intermittent "clip, clip, clop" (sorta like horse hooves on cobblestone) sound coming from somewhere in the front right of the car sometimes between 40&60KPH... I think it's coming from the suspension, but I'm not sure, but it only goes through one sequence of the above sound, goes away for a few hours, and then happens again... I don't think it's the pavement I'm driving on, but I'm concerned about what it might be and if it might pose a safety risk further down the road.

Any Insight??

Funny...

The title of the topic had been cut short, so all I saw was:

"Funny noises emanating from my..."

I could only fill in the blanks with silly things. :P

Sounds kinda like the inner boot on the CV axle going bad. Easy check, jack up that one side, look at the axle boots, if they're busted, ripped, torn, or otherwise not in one compete piece, then you're in for trouble, replace the axle.
