I'm looking to replace the Uniwobbles that came with the G6, although at this point I'm not 100% sure if I'm doing it yet. The main reason for my thought was I almost got into an accident because of the damn tires, skidding towards the opposite lane. Since summer is almost here so I think it shouldn't be too bad for now. Although they also suck in handling.

I'm currently considering these:

1. Continental ContiExtremeContact

2. BFGoodrich Traction T/A

3. Toyo Versado LX

5. Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S

All of them are V-Rated or H-Rated.

I'm leaning towards the Continentals, as I've heard good things about the performance and it's cheaper than the others, but I also heard bad things about Continental, as they were the OE tires on the G6 GT and they were bad with a capital B. I couldn't find rating info for the Toyos. It was recommended by one of the tire shops, and they said it's a new tire.

Opinions?

I have those T/A's (V rated) on my Honda now. It's a decent tire that is a good value for the money. As expected, they're not as sticky as previous Z-rated tires (T/A's and Pilots) I had on it.

Goodyears baby. In that range, they are excellent choice. Also cheaper than the Conti and the Michelins.

My friend's Mazda3 has Eagle RS-As and those were nightmares, especially for the freezing rain weather here. The LS2 that come with the base GTPs don't have much good rep either.

Stay away from the Conti's they are an awful tire, mysterious blowouts (ala Firestone),belt that shift more than the eyes of a man who is gulity of murder and as noisy as that mouthy Mustang girl form another thread.

If U still buy the Conti's after that.......
